HI Friends,
My Second review on mouth shut. I bought petrol swift 4 months ago, clocked 4000 kms, hence honest review. I have always been a fan of maruti swift, but did not pursue it as it had a 3 months booking. I then decided to book Ritz. I like the looks of the ritz, I know many don't.
Well when I actually went to book, dealer told me there is a 2 month booking period for ritz. I was dejected. I tried calling all maruti dealers in Bangalore, all voiced the same.
Garuda maruti sales person told me he has a swift which can delivered in 2 days time...:) I was delighted and booked immediately. I then bought home a sunlight copper color swift LXI.
I have gone on 2 long drives, one Bangalore to Goa and another Bangalore to Hyderabad and what an experience. Car is full of energy, car roars in 3rd gear for power. absolutely brilliant drive.
Mileage was 17km/L with A/c which was fantastic. I have driven at a top speed of 160. Car is easy o control even at that high speed. Braking is brilliant and the Car never gets tired just keeps going!
Car has a powerful A/c. Max I have put the fan on number 2. This also has a disadvantage. Because the a/c is so powerful, fog/ gas ( not sure how to put it) appears on the front windshield.
You then need to reduce your a/c cooling. Put it where the blue color starts and the fog would disappear. ( Not sure how many ppl have experienced this)
Few points which needs improvements.
I am ok with the interior swift has, but the problem is cheap quality interior- dashboad and bucket seat.
My earlier zen Estilo had better quality seat I thought. car on the pot hole make sound tak dak dak... with shaky interior. Improving quality of the plastic is a must.
All Maruthi vehicles lack good quality plastic interiors. Hyundai i10 makes a muted tak dak dak on the same pot hole. Noise reduced by at least 70% due to good quality plastic interior.
i10 s#cks for power, but brilliant interior look and quality wise. another point back seat leg room is less. There are no other negative points about the car.
