SX4 - when I purchased I got to know what it is..Please go ahead and read my experience : You know a person always will have a dream to get a C-segment car, but this is very rare to see in a middle class family. All we get is a small segment car restricted to Alto, 800, Swift, Santro and like that.
Me too, I was looking for a car for my personal use, atleast a small car and my budget was not that high. Done a research, went different showrooms and after test driving almost all the cars in small segment, I selected for Swift because of few reasons :
Product from Maruti Suzuki - so resale value will be good
Luxury car - within a starting range of 4 lacs and alto cost nearly 3.5 lacs in Bangalore
Good sporty look - Hyundai i20 is good but didn't like, cost is more
Good features are available.
Now is very difficult part coming, choosing the version as per your budget. Enquired for the car loan and checked that HDFC is giving me a 100% loan on ex-showroom price. Oh! great, it relieved me from huge down payments and also I do not have to give the 1st emi as down payment.
Now I compared all the version and found that Zxi version is really great with all pre-installed features i.e AC, music system, speakers, ABS-EBD, power steering, power windows etc. So other expenditure would be sunfilm, seat covers for me. Dealer was giving mud flap and floor mat free. So made my mind and want to purchase Swift Zxi from Bimal (Mahadevpura).
Went to Bimal, sales person was very nice and explained nicely about the car. The cost was in total 6.1 lacs. I paid 10k to book the car and went to the car to see it. I was waiting in the lounge for the computerised bill and having my coffee, at the same viewing SX4 brochure, don't know why?
I called the sales person and asked him the details of SX4 (Vxi) model because Zxi model though it is fully loaded with all features, my pocket was not agreeing to it. It cost nearly 8.7 lacs and on road if it comes it will be near 9 lacs. 6 lacs to 9 lacs really too much. But Vxi it was costing me around 7.8 lacs. I saw if HDFC is paying 100% price and related to emi the variation was only 3k and down payment was same. This is because there was offer in sx4 of nearly 50k discount.
Immediately changed from swift to sx4 because it is a C+ segment car with luxury things pre-installed. Only one thing I missed the airbags and ABS. Presently it is a 2 weeks old car and I ran it 700 km, saw the mileage in city with AC is 12 which is pretty good. All things were preinstalled, spend money on under chasis coating, central locking. Seat cover and sunfilm provided by dealer with other accessories like floor and dicky mat, idol and perfume.
The car music system is good with 4 speakers and 2 twiters, AC cooling is also good, power steering and power brakes were too good. U will not believe driving in 100 in outer ring road, u will feel it is being driven in 60 (maruti 800), because it is so much comfort. Really it looks like a lion when it stands. Little noisy engine but ok. I liked it very much and pleasure to drive and having good interiors. Well comfort seat and the boot space is very large (I have not seen any vehicle having so much space). The turning radius and ground clearance is another feature which is too good for indian roads. Jerkings you will not feel not too much inside, almost like an ac volvo bus. When I drive it seems the car is ruling the roads.
So it is very true "Men are Back"
