SX4zxi as Owner experience : Honest confession !. Review on Maruti Suzuki SX4

This post is different from other as I thought to write way back but then I was waiting so that I come with honest experince and check all pros and cons about SX4. I will segment my review discussing all the above rated section seperately. So that as new Buyer you know the car and define your need and view about Sx4 Zxi.

Space Inside and built

=>This car gives you optimum space ideal for family of four, but you can make 5 people fit easily . Boot space is sufficient even if you plan to place sub -boofer and other music gizmo.

=> I will not say anthing about plastic quaility because I personally dnt even impressed with honda. But I do like to point fit and finish are sub-standard. And somtime noisy when you open door or dikki.

Over all you don't mind and honestly not that bad.! I hope maruti need to work in this area.if they really want to challenge other brand.

Dealer Satisfaction:

Maintenance is low like other maruti car but their working style is quite SARKARI. Most of mechanic don't know about car and their modus operandy is More R'n' D then systematic check up. This SX4 comes with Micro -chip which is tuned by D2( a computer device) at my service station no one know how to handle it. Which is absurd. After all spending 7.25 L you dnt want it to be played around by freaking geek.

=> Best part of dealer ship is since it maruti hence you have lots more of option to choose from and SX4 maintence is not high. Its will cost you little more then alto or wagnor. And hence here Sx4 score over all the other car.! My 1st n 2nd serivicing cost forRs 800 n Rs552 respectively

Fuel Consumption:

This is the most important section and I would like to give you all detail. I'm getting 12kmpl in city drive. Since SX4 comes with High grear ratio(9.25) hence you can drive car up 60kmph in second gear without any raves on engine. But I shift it under 50kmph. Driving under 2000 rmp gives you better milage which is wrong conception.

If you really like better fuel efficiency then car should always be driven in between 2000 to 3500 RPM. Because if you are driving petrol car not high end diseal. The oil compression ratio for diseal car is high then petrol car hence diseal car produce more torque at low RPM. If you drive your car under 2000 RPM then actually lots of fuel get waste as beacuse they left unburn.

Here what I will recomend drive SX4 in between 2000 to 3000 RPM in general city condition . On highway you can stretch up to 3500 to 4000 RPM but only if can accelerate smoothly i.e give time to your car before it reach 140/150 kmph from 110kmph. I bet even driving at high speed you will going to get better milage.

In city here it goes.

Ignition or move from stand alone to 20kmph in 1st gear.

• 20 to 50Kmph in 2nd gear .

  
  




• 50 to 70 Kmph in 3rd gear.

  
  




• 70 to 90 kmph in 4th gear. After 85kmph you can go for 5th gear if traffic flow is smooth.

  
  

upto 100kmph in 5thh gear.

• Avoid sudden breaking and revs. Mind you the engine is powerful so any revs cause more fuel consumption.

  
  




• Keep AIR pressure checked well maruti recommends 33psi but I will suggest you other then hot summer you can go for 35 psi as little more pressure keep ride smooth specially in pothole and uneven road.

  
  

Go for premium petrol it cost Rs 1 or little more but it keep your drive smooth and you will get better mileage .

Following the above rules I'm getting 12kmpl in city with AC on in ideal traffic condition with my SX4 ZXI . On Highway it will give you anything in between 15-16 Kmpl.

Over-all Not bad but If maruti re tune engine like it did with Swift then I bet engine will better utilized.

Comfort and ride quality:

============

SX4 is drivers car I'm saying so because you will enjoy this car more as driver then seating at back seat. Even on bumpy ride seating in front give you less jerk feel. Arm rest at back is good when going for long drive. Space is well managed and even tall guy like 6'4" didnot feel cram sitting at back. Boot space is amazing and big enough for all your bag and baggage. As I mention in Milage section this car come with high gear ratio and hence driving at high speed at low gear is not problem.

=> Gear shift is not soft but it form firm and good when you driving at high speed.

=> Honestly you will feel like seating in SUV when you seat in this car . You love this car on highway

=> Easily go to 160 kmph which-out any hassel

=> Braking is amazing

=> ABS look effective even the tail is high and car is bulky

You will feel driving hulk in city.Not recommended for ladies.better leave them with honda city. Its pure MAN's car with feel of SUV.

CAR is full of Gizmo and feature.except one and that is .there is no reserve fuel light indicator . which is funny.! As this feature is even available in santro

Rear view is poor and its not car fault as it common in most SUV! Since SX4 is high on wheel and back is high hence you need a rear parking sensor with display.Which you will get fitted from market after spending Rs 3900

## Please use wire clutcher when fixing this equipment dnt allow them to make any cut in wire else you will loose warrenty for electric fitting.

Reliability:

When I say this best petrol car for highway . I mean it I personally drive it for 500km in day and did not feel exhausted car is very comfortable. You can better believe me as I drove 250 Km ie going jaipur from Gurgoan last weekend without any halt. And honestly I did not feel fatigue.

Yes no doubt it is reliable car. And you can rely on it for both city and high speed Highway driving.

Looks and gizmo:

Its MAN's CAR Beast on Road .MEAN MACHINE.! Looks is always personal choice and I like it more then another car in its segment. Its more logically design. 16' alloy make it class apart when you compare to honda.I easily drive it in pothole and High breaker.which other struggle to handle.

I hope there are few features that are not even available in honda city top model it only you will see in civic or controller.
