SX4 Practical Pros and Cons. Review on Maruti Suzuki SX4

I wont write stories and wont use wonderful words for this review and wont be going too far technically in the enegine performance. To the point Pros and Cons of SX4 ZXi and not going technically very far comparing it with Honda City vtec, Verna, Ford or Aveo. No Bitching Not Very Good Appriciation.  Simple Practical Review:

Pros:

1. Spacious.

   
   




2. 16" alloys for better handling in cities at low and normal speeds.(Tubeless tyres)

   
   




3. Drive by wire thingy to give comfortable and smooth drive not a sluggish if a drive don't know how to control a car but it is not useful if you want to suddenly overtake a car or a bus in a city and want a power booster in your car as if wont give you a sudden shock or wont give a pleasure for a newby sitting next to you like if he/she is digging into the seat bcoz of the thrust generated by the car.

   
   




4. 505L boot space.

   
   




5. High ground clearance and good front view only if you are there in a city and a normal driver at highways and wanna drive not more than 120-130 max.

   
   




6. Good AC and Controls at steering which is easy to operate.

   
   




7. Climate control.

   
   




8. ABS+ EBD combo for good braking.

   
   




9. Airbags.

   
   




10. Ofcourse how can we forget Maruti Label on it. Very cheap available parts and good car for the people who wanna save their money.

    
    

Cons:

1. Engine not responsive. If you want a sudden response from the engine and want a power boosting  then a big NO.

   
   




2. A Pillar i.e the side one blocking a lot of side view from inside.

   
   




3. Read Arm rest and middle person feels really uncomfortable.

   
   




4. A lump with a great height will be there bet. the foot of the person sitting in the middle in the rear seat.

   
   




5. Low quality plastic interiors.(Dashboard lock was really stuck in the demo car lol)

   
   




6. Not very good handling at high speeds if you are a speed freak and cruising above 140 kmph due to high ground clearance, weight and aerodynamics of the car. Handling means sometimes you need to make sharp cuts and left and right at high speeds or sometimes in the time of emergency. then a Big Big NO.

   
   




7. Security wise on impacts: Bumpers as if they used a simple plastic and not very useful in impacts. Bumper locks will fly off even with the simple impact. Engine and parts compilation. Not good compilation to absorb energy on the time of the impacts as big spaces bet. the parts and which means not a very good energy absorbant. Doors: only 1 rod to save the pessengers which is pethatic.

   
   




8. Ofcourse Fuel consumption.

   
   




9. Rear View problems bcoz of it's Fat @ss.

   
   




10. I don't know but something always stucks on the left side of the foot if I place my foot on the clutch. Aha! Clutch padel is connected from the left side instead of connecting from the center. That was really really anoying and I was not feeling free to put my foot on the clutch as City driving really needs a free control of clutch pedel brakes and accelerator.

    
    




11. Really Lame Gearbox. Maruti really did well to fool the people by downgrading the car's performance and show glitters like climate control etc.

    
    




12. Space Utilization like Dash Boards and doors. Not Good Utilization of the space.

    
    

In short a worth car for a person who want to drive normally in the city and don't want any Power House thing and satisfied with the normal but not a lightening fast pickup and wanna save his/her just few amount of money like few Hundreds in the service and Few Hundreds in spare parts.

As a Family Car: 3.5 out of 5.

As a Freak who wants quick handling and response: 2.5 out of 5 as freaks can spend few more bucks and can get a real good engine than this one.
