Bought New Ritz VXI from INDUS Motors Palakkad, Kerala on 26/06/2013. Initially My budget was 5Lakh. after some market research my choice narrowed to wagon R. Then me and my wife went to showroom and made a test ride of wagon R.
My findings are very spacious better than my old maruthi 800 engine is under powered and not so silent interior quality is very bad we were not so happy with our choice. We came back home and decided to increase our budget by 50000. Then we started to check the reviews of different cars coming under 5.5Lakh. Some priorities we had are
good head room
good leg space
high sitting position like in SUV
easy Ingress and outgress
boot space
good thigh support
The choices we had are
Figo(D/P)
Swift(P)
Ritz(P)
Beat(D)
Polo(P)
Etios Liva(P)
I10 1.2
vista
some are rejected for following reason
Figo(D/P) - low seating position
Swift(P) - low seating position
Beat(D) - cramped interior
Polo(P) - unavailability of show room and service center nearby
Etios Liva(P) - noisy car
vista - unreliable and cheap quality
went to Hyundai show room got an i10 for test ride. I really loved the riding position, ride was good, very light steering, good view of road, good fit and finish. the problems I found were - low leg room at back seat, thigh support not so good, not a large car for my 5.5L
Then I went to Sai motors but they only had a diesel ritz for test ride. Then I went to INDUS motors. They also said that only Diesel vehicle is available now for test ride. I gave my number and said the sales person to call me when petrol model is available. Even after two days I didn't got a call. So I booked for a test ride online on maruthi website. I got a call asking "are you really interested in Ritz, Did you book Ritz ............." but no car for test ride. I think they thought we are not going to buy the car. after that one of my friend came home, surprisingly his car was Ritz, and I got it for a ride and fixed that this is going to be my next car because my priorities are satisfied. Next day We went to INDUS Motors and said we are going to book Ritz but we need a car to test ride before that. Suddenly they came with a car for test ride (i don't know from where it came now :-) ) after test ride we booked RitZ VXI

The color we choose is gray but for gray only red interior is available so changed to chocolate

Fitted seat cover+ steering cover worth 5500, and mobile charger worth 250 and mobile holder worth 60.
Total amount spent is 256098 + 300000Loan
EMI 5050 for seven years.
I am happy with my car. Its showing a average mileage of 19.4Km/L I don't know whether it is correct or not.
