Please let me raise my voice against negative attitude towards poor customers My Self owns of a ritz VDI vehicle(KL-24D-1049), purchased during June 2011 from Popular spent approximately RS 600000. My vehicle has clocked 65000 kilometers only. Currently my vehicle is facing serious engine side issues. I am really fed up with poor quality of maruti service centres. One repair will trigger another major damage .


I have done all periodical services promptly.  I was facing issues related to alerting system of my car from the very beginning. Within first 4000 kms, The hand break light was lit during the running. Oil light was malfunctioning. when I complained about it the authorized dealer advised me to ignore it and promised that it won’t affect your car. But finally my brake pads ended up with premature wear and tear.


My cars clutch disk worn out within 3000 kilometers and I forced to replace it out of warranty.let me brief my current issue.


During September 2011 my car encountered mild underbody accident. I informed the service Centre(Indus Karikkode) and they found the fuel pump was damaged(while crossing a bump a rock hit the engine side)  and needs some replacement. They have dismantled the engine and fixed the issues. They have replaced all damaged parts and I have paid  Rs.16500.00 for that without any argument.


Within few days, I sensed mild noise change from the engine and low pickup. The service center persons convinced me that it is quite natural as they have opened the engine and it will settle within few kilometers. As a technical illiterate person I believed them and started using vehicle ignoring ended up with total failure of engine. Last day during a trip I sensed heavy smoke from exhaust pipe and vehicle is not responding to accelerations. Engine noise also become worse. I again contacted the service Centre and they informed me that I have to pay approximately 150000(one lakh fifty thousand .) to repair the engine damages. As per their opinion its quite natural complaint not connected with their engine repair works.


From analyzing the above circumstances it is very clear that my vehicle is facing serious manufacturing defects. And I am due for replacing the engine issues without any financial burdens on me.


Kindly understand that all issues are connected each other. My car was facing problems in providing alerts about oil warning, break fluid, parking etc. Clutch disk issue within 3000 kilometers is a true evidence of defective engine and clutch assembly.  Finally the improper fuel pump repair work resulted a damaged engine. I am very sure that the replacement of fuel pump by your inexperienced workers made a serious mistake to my engine. I am no more interested in spending lakhs on a defective product.


From my experience I understood that maruti is producing poor quality defective cars and cheating Indian customers. I know many ritz cars are facing manufacturing defects like rusting, engine side issues. Maruti is the largest indian car manufacturer sold more than 10 million cars .  I am very sure that maruti is following footsteps of hindustan motors and close down as Suzuki did in US. Indian customers are also going to reject you. There are many anti maruti movements of customers. Majority of maruti customers are not satisfied because of poor quality products and poor service.


I belive Indian government should take necessary actions to regulate maruti Suzuki . Maruti suzuki is not capable to manufacture quality cars, give service to the cars they have sold. Maruti Suzuki has become an establishment for looting customers. Don’t you feel ashamed of yourselves?.


I demand replacement of engine with a new one as I realised that maruti is not capable to manufacture or repair diesel engines. Pay a reasonable compensation for mental trauma I have gone through. Provide me loaner car till the  repair works are over.


I have a humble request to Hon RC Bhargava and Hon Kenichi Ayukawa. Sir we respect you as your company . we admit that you have made many fruitful contributions to indian auto mobile industry.  But currently expectations of customers and your attitude towards customers has changed. In this changing scenario we customers are forced to start fight against Maruti Suzuki. Please take it in the positive spirit and don’t loot us. Kindly concentrate on entry level segment only. Understand that you are not fit for premium segments. Many vehicles ritz and swift are facing rusting issues, engine side issues, rattling issues. we customers are fed up. Only middle class people are buying maruti cars. Please don’t loot us.


Kindly respond within 3 days on receipt of this letter. Other wise I will be forced to take up this issue to next level. Manilal B.S.
