I see 60 users before me have given their detailed opinion about the car, so I won’t elaborate it instead I will keep it short and try to highlight the points.

Finally on 25th Dec 2009, I got my car. All New All Black RitZ ZXi.

Done around 700 kms with 2 trips from Gurgaon-Delhi & back. All I can say is… “WoW”.

The car is properly tested now as Delhi is under severe cold wave n foggy weather.

The front n rear fog lamps, rear defogger are fully utilized by me these few days. I also use heater to keep myself from freezing. However, I am sorry for not providing my inputs about the pickup n mileage while Using the AC, blame it on the winter season J

Airy Interiors, great view of the road, Bright lights, Cool interiors.

The utility box on the dash board & the parcel tray under co-passenger’s seat is also a good feature. Clever use of space. ZXi has big & wider tyres, which just glides over pothole with much ease…

ZXi comes with standard ICE from Nippon, but no slot for pen drive. however, I connect my phone with the AUX input and it works fine. The Steering mounted audio control is also a cool feature with mute button on it. You can play CD, songs from iPod or mobile, Radio FM+ AM, effortlessly.

I also have a remote control for the music system, however I prefer the audio controls on the steering wheel.

On 5th gear you can drive it at 25 kmph too. and also turning 270 degrees in round-abouts(gol-chakkars) on 3rd gear is also an easy task.

Maruti doesnot fit gear lock as their official spare part supplier MINDA does not have a gear lock for Ritz yet!The dealer(APRA Auto) gave me free accessories like – mud flaps, door visors, floor mats, black-blue seat covers & steering cover. Only thing I purchased from outside was the Gear Lock AUTOCOP from outside. It cost me 1150/-.

I did my mileage check today using full tank to full tank method. and I got a figure of 14 kmpl.(335 kms in 24 lts) This is purely in the city traffic and with no AC.

As per the Maruti Sales guy, the mileage is expected to improve after 3rd service. I will happy if I get above 15.However, I follow the instructions by the Sales guy and do not exceed 60 kmph while driving.

Sometimes it’s funny when the auto richskaw overtakes you on the road. Anyways, I will take revenge after I finish 1000 kms LOLZ

However, 1 thing could have been done better was if Maruti provided Day-Night adjustable mirror.

I like the feature, where the doors gets auto-locked when you cross 25 kmph while driving.

The 5th door is also centrally locked, there is no lever under the driver’s seat to open the boot-space on the back. It has only 1 lever to open the fuel tank.

All in all, I am enjoying the drive and it really feels great when you see so many heads turning and staring at you with smile. My manager, colleagues all have test driven it and they are actually surprised by its features. They are liking the better quality interiors and the space inside. My fellow readers, let me know if you have any queries. I will surely try to address them if I have correct info.

Till then Happy Driving.
