Proud owner of Ritz Vxi since for a year. I booked a Ritz Vxi silky silver last August after researching for almost 6 months. Being a Maruti 800 owner for 5 years, Maruti was my first choice for a new car (trust me its real low on maintenance). I also checked out i10 and Beat. My budget being 4.5 lakhs, initially I had finalized Wagon R in mind. But wife was not happy with the shape of the car( she loved the i10 automatic version).

When I was taking various test drives, my friend suggested Ritz. I test drove the car and fell in love with it. I was quite impressed with the height of the car and the dashboard mounted gear panel looked superb. Also the price difference between Wagon R Vxi and Ritz Vxi was around 50-60k, which I found worth considering the 1.2 engine and extra space.

The next question was diesel or petrol. Well calculating my usage(well below 10000 km a year) and making up my mind that would not drive the vehicle every day to office( considering traffic in Mumbai, its preferable to take public/ office transport) I decided to go for a petrol version.

Got the double din integrated music system fitted from the dealer along with a rear spoiler and remote key. My experience with the dealer (Automotive Navi Mumbai) was not quite pleasant though.  As per the sales person's suggestion, I chose an odd day for delivery (was planning a day before the Ganpati festival, but he suggested that it will be too crowded being so many deliveries an I wont get proper attention). I was in no rush so agreed to come on a odd day.

On the delivery day, when I went to the showroom got a great welcome by the dealer and he assured the car is ready for delivery. Automotive has a custom of getting a pooja done by a priest during the day of delivery. The moment I opened the bonnet, to my great surprise, engine was all covered with dust. I was totally disappointed and grilled at the sales person. He apologized and took the vehicle back for washing.

After 30mins, when he got it back, I examined the vehicle carefully, to find the front mirrors were faded and had few white stains. The sales person again took the vehicle in workshop and got them polished. I was dissatisfied and felt like rejecting the vehicle delivery, but since it was a festive time and family was all excited for the new car I took the vehicle home.

But apart from this experience, the car is too good and I am completely satisfied with the car. One since advice, if you are going to get your Maruti car from Automotive, please pay attention to finer details, people are not quite professional and tend to compromise on the quality.
