Well. It’s my 1st Car(RITZ petrol - Lxi) and my 1st review. I had gone through the Reviews of various cars before I put up my mind to go for the RITZ.
I was supposed to be going to purchase Swift Lxi on May 10th, but I heard about RITZ to be launch in market in May 15th and wait for another 5 days to have a look on the new model first. I really like the performance of Swift petrol, Interiors etc. but changed my mind on last moment after the test drive of RITZ petrol.
Now comes to differences why I purchased RITZ instead of Swift:
1) The main reason - Swift is around 5years old with some cons(Shape), Ritz is a new model with decent exteriors and with BS-IV standards(no other car in this segment has - Swift is BS-III standard).
2) The Price tag - its 4.18L(on road) for the LXi variant compared to Swift Lxi its 10K cheaper.
3) I like the interiors. Lots of space inside. Good for medium family(4-5 members). Lots of leg space. I am not very tall(5' 4') but still, it’s comfortable for me.
4) Power - its quite good 1197 CC(petrol). Good pick-up and very smooth(as compared to Tata Vista). Please do not compare with swift.(1300CC) 100CC definitely make a difference in pick up.
5) Maintenance - well it’s a new car and we all have to wait for another couple of years to see the actual expenses on car. According to Maruti - Oil change after 10, 000 KM. Spark plug - 40, 000 KM, Mileage - around 17KM(Right now I getting 7-8KM with AC always ON. Delhi temperature u know guys in May - June 42-44 degrees) Mileage will definitely Improve with time and off course on highways it will sure give above 14 KM per L.
6) I always prefer a brand that has a market value. Maruti cars have a good resale value as compared to other brand Tata, skoda, Chevrolet etc.
I will recommend you guys. Go for Maruti RITZ. Value for Money. Don’t compare the Ride quality with the exteriors. You loved the car after few days. It seems to looking different(may say odd) from back side in first look but look better every time u see again.
