In Feb 2012, I have decided to buy swift well before the budget and consecutive price hike. So went to Popular Vehicles to see the car.There is no display in the showroom, the sales person took us to the garage and showed a dirty vehicle that has come for service. The notice board in the showroom displayed 2 weeks wait time for swift and the sales representative assured the delivery within a month. so we booked the vehicle in 2nd week of Feb.
The sales rep made me to pay the onroad price including loan amount by March end saying that the vehicle will be dispatched by March 31st, but the vehicle was not dispatched. Since then , the sales person kept on saying that the vehicle will be dispatched in 2 days. The written assured delivery date (1 month) has reached, so I have escalated this issue.The showroom head spoke to me in person and assured me that even if the price hike is announced, they will sell the vehicle based on its old price. So I have waited patiently. One and half month after booking, the sales person has informed that the vehicle is dispatched and he also said that the price is hiked on the same day and I have to pay 10000 rupees extra. Got very frustrated with their service. They bargained with me like in fish market and said its enough to pay 5000 rupees extra.
I cancelled the booking and bought "Honda-Brio", had a very good experience from Honda dealer.

didn't stand by their verbal word of assuring me to sell the vehicle based on old price.
spoiled my happiness of buying my first car.
