Maruti Omni E, you can call it the ultimate utility vehicle.
I own one since 3 years but there is room for lot of improvement.
Ride Comforts :
Omni E is not very comfortable in the back seats.
The last seat is a realy bumpy one cause they have changed
the shock-absorbers for reducing the cost.
The wheels are small, so the ride is very very bumpy.
The middle seat is designed for some alien creatures who
prefer to sit in an absolute straight back position.
For humans who prefer to recline a bit, the front seats are a bit ok.
Also there is no AC
So if you want to use it for long excrusions, then I would advice against it.
Space :
There is lots and lots of space. I had once transported a small
cupboard in it :-).
You can fit in almost anything in the car.
So if its space u want then go for it.
Maintainence :
Maintenance is pretty low and spares are also quite ok in price.
Price :
The price is ofcourse attractive
Drive :
The car seems to be highly underpowered on ghats.
The driving is quite good but becomes shaky above 100 kmph.
I have not yet dared to put up an overhead luggage rack on the
car as it might make the car unstable and prone to turn turtle when driving
at high speed on curves
Final Verdict :
A very good utility vehicle for city driving and short 2 -3 hour picnic trips.
Really bad for long drives for the driver as well as for the passengers.
