Look like SUVs but cross hatchback type design. Maruti Suzuki has launched the latest addition to its Nexa lineup - the Ignis with prices ranging between Rs 4.59 lakh-7.80 lakh(Ex-showroom). The Ignis is available in four variants - Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha. Engine options include the 84PS 1.2-litre K-Series petrol and the 75PS 1.3-litre DDiS190 engine with a Top Speed of 125 Kmph. It gives a huge 21 Kmpl on Petrol and 26 Kmpl on Diesel Variant. Both engines can be had with a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. Highlights include LED projector headlamps with daytime running lamps, 15-inch alloy wheels, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system(with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Navigation), and automatic climate control.
The Maruti Ignis goes up primarily against the Mahindra KUV100, Hyundai Grand i10, and its own sibling - the Maruti Suzuki Swift.
