I just purchased a Maruti gypsy 1990 from Malta The island where I am living and it has a toyota 1.5l diesel engine with a fiat 131 gearbox. 5 speed. I am finding the gears very low due to the original differentials and was wondering where I could find new or used front and rear final drive gears that I would be able to swap into the front and rear differentials so that I could raise the gears and give the truck more top end.
I am in 5 gear going like 40km\h and it tops out at about 60 km\h I would love to increase at least 20 km\h more. I was also wondering if Suzuki Samurai parts would fit in the Gypsy as it is much easier for me to find suzuki parts on the island. Any websiites that sell parts or where I can find more info would really help thank you all.
