Hey guys, I am here just to put some lights on the new esteem, the big car. I bought this car in june and completed my 1000km and first servicing too. below are the pros and cons of the car.
Pros: Great car, a big one which comes under the budget. Spacious than Tata indigo, mid size cars, Ford Ikon, Opel Corsa, Daewoo Cielo, Honda City. The Vxi model for rear arm rest, enough leg room. The car got decent boot space. There is driver seat height adjuster. Comes with Pioneer music system and speakers. AC is too powerfull. Minor difference detected in pickup which driving AC on and off. The car pickup is better than Honda City, Hyundai Accent, Checrolet UVA, Ikon, Astra, Corsa and Indigo. The fuel efficiency which I have received is 13km/l before first service, and after 14km/l in city. In my highway ride, I have got 17.5 km/l before service and after service I didnt went on highways:) The suspension is good and the car is reliable to go for a long distance ride. It is always been.
Crons:
Old look, which I mean, maruti could have make it more attractive. Few color available. Interior is not so good, but you can expect a interior of Honda civic with a budget of 5 lakhs. The dashboard and the area of music system and AC controller are of old Ambassador style. This again can be change on spending some money. The interior finishing is not so good, but you can make it if you wanna spend some on it.
Technology wise the car is superb. Maruti only missed the designing and styling part.
Hope you will find the resume usefull. Remember, someone could have very bad experice with this car at the beginning. Sometimes few cars get manufacture in all car companies where there remains some defects.
