Maruti Esteem Di,
I have been using this product for about 20 long months now. and it still is running the same way although I have spent some good time on fixing it a couple of times.
This product is nice when it comes to a diesel class vehicle, when it comes to terms like fuel consumption. It is very good when it comes to long runs simply for the reason that the amont of money it eats up on fuel is very less compared to the petrol version of the car and still it gives the same inner comfort and space.
Th A/C works good and so is the overall performance of the car, till you approximately hit the 30000 - 35000 km mark and then.
Then its time for some good overhaul and also some long time spent by the vehicle in the showroom.
The spare parts(genuine parts) are rarely available since the number of vehicles launched were limited. So we end up putting the spurious engine parts in there and then what. it breaks agains within a short time. yeah the good thing is by that time the genuine stuff is available in the showroom.
It will be a bit of time till you adjust to the performace of the car to get the top stats. and that is rare on the city drive, but on the highway it drives cool. I must say.
Then there is the engine noise which is not dampened and hence when you fire the car, people feel as if we have started a heavy vehicle and not a car.
Overall looking at the cost of the vehicle, its a good buy, since it gives the same amount of inner space and legroom as the petrol variant of the car, but when it comes down to the engine maintenance, better be sure that you have ample amount of time, money and a backup car(specially if you are addicted to being only in the car when it comes to travelling) since the turn-around-time for the vehicle's maintenance.
