The new maruti celerio is a low budget no doubt also an economical car for its segment.
The car comes within a price range of 3-5 lakhs on road and also offers a good mileage of around 18-20 as per the customerfeedback.
But on many aspects the company fails to impress with celerio.
The engine especially is not as powerful as other cars of this segment.
My uncle owns the celerio for 6 months and now he has started to feel the vibration in the engine and also the not so well tuned suspension of the car.
Its a 900cc engine with three cylinder which is the problem.
The car is only available in petrol or CNG version.
The three cylinder engine takes time to produce acceleration and maximum speed inside the car and also the torque produce is nominal(90NM)
A big family for a long weekend roadtrip will face problem in the journey and also in the fuel economy.
The interiors as well are not so classy as all other maruti variants but other cars such as tata motors are offering excellent features and interiors design in the very same price range and segment.
All in all it can be said it has some success in local driving use but a failure for me when tested on highways on long routes thats why I say its a successful failure for maruti.
Thanks.
