I am working as a Research Scientist in Atomic Energy. I started my first car 10ys back Maruti Omni. Then after 5 ys changed my car to Wagon R. After three years of my Wagon R I decided to change my car to a SEDAN with budget of 5-6 laks. I made lot of Research on various cars by going through Internet as well as going to Dealers to get first hand in formation. Finally I have zeroed in three cars namely Ford Ikon, New Honda City and BALENO LXi. After considering fuel efficiency, Service and cost I bought BALENO LXi BSIII. The following are my comments.
Bought in Feb 2005. So far driven 9500kms as on Nov.05
Fuel efficiency 16 - 17 km/liter with AC on always and maximum speed of 85kms.
It is very quiet inside the cabin. AC is suburb even in minimum. The only negative thing is while going over speed breakers with 4 person the bottom touches the speed breaker. So go for this car if are fuel conscious
