I am a owner of Maruti a-star since April 2010.Its a good car in terms of speed, reliability, Handling, looks.Each car have some good point and Bad .A-star can be summarized as follows:
Good Points
Excellent look specially bright red.cute head light make it more
Good Mechanisms reliable
Good for hill driving and pickup in this case its better then i10
Good interior
Excellent a/c .instant cooling
Excellent music system
side mirror and back mirror good
extra cup and bottle holder in doors
lighter and mobile charger
Good brakes
excellent shock proof
Have an excellent look everyone in road is impressed with bright red shining car
Bad points
Boot space is so Small that even a small suitcase cant be kept this is really very bad if you are planning a trip with family. Where as I see ford figo with ample boot space.
if you are tall this car is not for you your knee may bounce while driving the side seat with driver has the similar case. If you are looking for more leg room then a-star is not a good option.
Changing of gear is not so comfortable.
Engine stops many times while changing gear in slow speed may be because I am not so good driver but I tried hyundai verna that is really good
