I am not the one to really rate a car coz all that matters to me is that it should start at the right time! Well, but our new car we recently bought is a new maruti 800, crystal gold. The car was the most awaited member of our family; the outcome of a decision for which me, ma and pa discussed for months. All about savings, fuel consumption, service charges an the most important question _ Who'll drive it? Coz none of us knew driving. So I decided to learn it. (I would also like to mention here that it was because my ma pestered a lot that we decided to finally buy a car and obviously Maruti coz it was easy on our pockets )
Ok. learning done. Got a license. Got the preferred colour. The day we got it, I inaugurated it in the very traditional style ( you know na the neembu nariyal custom). But since I was on duty that day, one of our family friends drove it to the temple for puja ceremony and I left the dealer showroom on my kinetic. Saw them going an I just stopped and kept looking at the newest member in our family. It was cute, shining gold and I felt an instant affinity towards it. Felt as if it too liked me.
The next morning I laid my hands on my irresistible four-wheeler and drove through the busy roads with my confidence slowly building up. It gave me a real smooth ride and I loved every bit of it! Then it was time for me to go to the office and so I decided to take the kinetic coz there was no parking space outside our office for a car. It was a good decision I guess coz enroute I met with an accident and fractured my left wrist. Some fellow human beings helped me get up and I called up my parents home. 20 mins later my parents came to the spot in our brand new vehicle; venu uncle, our family friend was driving it. They immediately rushed me to a hospital. What a place to take the new car first, many may think. But it gave me a ride which was so smooth and non-jerky that I could withstand the pain. Imagine my plight had it been an auto!
Not only that, the car was the biggest relief for my parents since they could come and go bringing food and milk at their convenience. Otherwise they would have had to pay up huge auto fares at midnights and be at the mercy of autowallahs. Astrologer says we did not buy the vehicle at the right time. But I think we couldnt have bought it at any better time. I am more than proud to be writing about my cute car with my right hand. Right now, my dad is learning to drive it, forcibly of course. For the moment let me be happy with being the interior decorator!
But I want my shining car to know, I'll grab it soon after I recover. Just you wait! :)
