The Ertiga is designed to look like a mix between a conventional hatchback and a conventional MPV. The Ertiga gets swept back headlamps along with a larger chrome festooned grille and sporty bumpers. The bumper also has two large recesses for the fog lamps with chrome surrounds. T he side profile of the car too appears to be MPV based but yet offers quite a handsome look to the overall dimensions.
The large greenhouse is suitable masked with the help of the slightly flared wheel arches and the blacked out B and C pillars. The rear of the car looks typical Suzuki with the Swift influences aplenty. The tail lamps could have been slightly larger though but overall the car looks quite appealing. The Ertiga also gets a new set of 16-inch alloy wheels that looks quite sporty and fill the wheel arches well.
On the inside, the new Ertiga comes with a touchscreen infotainment system, with bluetooth, voice command, navigation system and a reverse parking camera as part of the kit. It’s the same unit borrowed from the Ciaz and the S-Cross. The Ertiga now also gets push-Start/Stop with smart key, electrical foldable ORVMs and a 2nd row accessory socket. The black and beige interior also gets other added benefits like rear parking sensors and steering mounted audio and phone controls.
The Eritga is also quite spacious but isn’t a real seven seater. Although the middle row offers decent space to sit, the last row does not and is quite cramped for fully-grown men. The rear seats do get rear AC vents with their own HVAC controls, which is a positive. The top of the line Ertiga also gets leather seats. Speaking about technical specifications, the Eritga gets a petrol and diesel engine. The petrol is a 1.4-litre four cylinder motor that offers 95PS of peak power and mileage of 17.5kmpl. The diesel is a 1.3-litre engine that has a turbocharger and four cylinders. Now thanks to the new SHVS system, the engine returns mileage of 24.52 kmpl and offers 85PS of peak power. The Ertiga goes up against the likes of the Honda Mobilio and the Renault Lodgy
