I was toying with the idea of to buy or not to buy the map my India navigator. The negative reports were dissuading me yet I went ahead and got myself a VX 140 premium model for Rs 12000.00 all inclusive.
I tried it out yesterday. I went on a drive from Pune to Mumbai. I had to reach a place called RC church in colaba. I am totally unfamiliar with Mumbai. I keyed in the place of interest, the GPS fix was obtained in less than 10 seconds and it guided me from Pune through the expressway, through the eastern expressway till RC church, not once did I stop the vehicle and ask anyone for any directions. Just fantastic. On the expressway, it was showing me the curves, 2 minutes ahead of the actual curve, just fabulous.
I have read about the bad reports for lesser known places, I plan to drive into the remote beaches of Maharashtra shortly, will check it out and let you know.
