I am really a fan of Anurag Kashyap so I watch all the movie directed by him. Again he has directed a good movie for their audience. He has made the subject something bold as a love story of today young people where they have added some bold dialogue to attract their audience.
As the name denotes Manmagia which clearly indicates the actor do their own mind and not from other minds.
The film is similar to HUM DIL DE CHUKE SANAM and TANU BEDS MANU or it just the next step of both the film.
But the difference is that the saying and doing the work in a different angle. which makes the separation from others.
In the movie, Tapsi Tanu loves Vicky Kausal. One day her aunty catch Vicky in Rumi room. Rumi(tapsi tannu) request Vicky to marry with him but Vicky does not like to do so. He escapes from the responsibilities.
One day one NRI Robby(Abhishek Baccan) likes Rumi in a matrimonial site. After some time they marry each other.
Now come to the plotting of movie
Anurag Kashyap has tried to make a different movie based on today young generation idol. He has made some new experiment which makes the movie different. He wants to show a love story of today's world where all the young generation is passing on. Because now the younger, s are motivated towards Hollywood movie. so they want to feel the same thing in Hindi movie.
The bold story may disappoint the traditional movie lover but the urban people may like it. So this is the main purpose of the Anurag.
Acting
I have watched Tapsi in the movie in Mulk and soorma. I really like the movie and she has done the same strong performance in this movie, she really has done a good performance. Vicky Kaushal has expressed everything from his eyes. But Abhishek Bachchan has not attracted, he was just boring as like in their previous movies.
Music
All the songs are good and good to my ear.MUsic was fine. The cinematography was also good of the film.
Those who like to watch modern love story they may move to watch the movie.
