From Aug 2012 till Nov 2012, I had recurring fevers, severe weight loss and several other health problems. I was scared to go to Manipal as I heard it would be too costly. But finally I went there anyway, and I got admitted there. I was visited by multiple specialists and got good diagnosis. The best thing about this is that they didn't start any medicine before finding out exactly what my problem is. The doctors explained all the issues very patiently and listened to us. All the non medical facilities too were very good for in-patient, like the attending by the nurses, food etc. I would definitely recommend this to my friends.
The only catch is, it is extremely costly. I had an endoscopy, biopsy, CT Scan, some other blood tests like liver function test and few regular ones, I was in the hospital for 9 days with salines and other injections quite frequently. For all these, I got a bill of 1.2 lakhs. I didn't have a single operation. The whole bill was for all the procedures, medicines and room charges. Around 45k was for endoscopy, 10k was for CT scan, 27k for room charge for 9 days. So you can have some idea about the costs. Luckily I got insurance coverage. One more point I disliked is that, on the day of discharge, I was informed about the discharge at around 9 am but finally discharged at 4 pm.
The insurance papers came at around 3 pm, so they charged me for an additional day(day ends at 12 noon).
