Last year on December I had this great privaledge and opportunity to visit a place called Mangan which is located in northern part of the Sikkim. This place might not be a famous holiday destination for many people, but today I am going to share my experience about this place. Mangan is located in the northern part of Sikkim and most of the traveller's used this small town as their base station from where they start up treaks to the other places nearby. After visiting this place I found out there are few very interesting places which might attract the tourists around Mangan. There is a place which is called the Yumthang Valley, which is a must visit place. The beautiful glimpces of the surroundings and the scenery around the valley is majestic. But on the other hand Mangan is also the least populated towns in Sikkim, so it is not that well developed as compared to nearby places like Darjeeling and etc. So there are also lesser avaibility of hotels as compared to other hill stations, but in years to come it is going to be developed into a famous tourists spot because of the majestic view of the kanchenjunga range it provides. Another drawback of the place would be since it is located at a very high altitude so it might not be a suitable place for slightly elderly people or people who has certain kind of heart diesels or breathing problem. Overall if you are a passionate travel who likes visiting lesser known places, then you must give it a go.
