Go here if you want to acquire an infection!

If you want a deep and abiding infection, go to Mangala hospital in Hassan. My father went there on 19th Sept because he had a fall. They operated on the 20th and fitted him with a prosthesis. He was there until 3rd Oct and the bill came to Rs. 1, 08, 000/-  They would not allow his insurance although it is accepted everywhere else because it is from the Central Government.

To add insult to injury, he acquired a hospital infection, which required redoing his surgery because his prosthesis was infected! Instead of 1 surgery, he is now waiting for his 3rd surgery and is in great pain. He has lost 6 kg. weight and is a shadow of his former self. His Mangala hospital room had cockroaches, ants, mosquitoes and fruit flies inside.

There was 1 nurse per floor and she worked for 2 floors in case of holidays such as Deepavali. The generator in the hospital only operated the operating theatre and nothing else so the patient's room, the cafeteria, the pharmacy, etc. were all left to operate in the dark by candle-light. Even the lift does not operate on the generator!

My father, a 69-year old man, had to undergo 2 surgeries in 3 weeks to correct the mistake made at Mangala. The poor man still has the infection raging throughout his body as of 19th November. He is still on antibiotics at great risk to his liver and kidneys. Because the infection was so deep-rooted, his hip socket is now damaged and he is waiting for the infection to be eliminated for a total hip replacement surgery.

The hospital cafeteria had cockroaches running around the coffee containers and other utensils. I saw the nurse re-use the syringe and needle! The patient was in a private room. Imagine how the patients in the general ward are treated! After hearing about this patient's ordeal and seeing him and the hospital first-hand, I have only 1 piece of advice for you: Do not make the mistake of going to Mangala hospital if you value your life!
