It doesn't take a majority to make a rebellion; it just takes ONE Mangal Pandey and a sound cause.

I have a high regard for all the freedom fighters of this country who fought for freedom and laid their life so that we can live in freedom and with our head held high. I salute Shaheed Mangal Pandey who became a symbol of revolt against the East India Company. Let me tell you Shaheed Mangal Pandey is not an ordinary freedom fighter. He is the path breaking shaheed who showed the Indians that freedom can be achieved against the COMPANY ruler. He is the one who shot the first fire of our freedom struggle which continued till 1947. He is one whose bravery made even the ordinary people to fight against the foreign ruler. He is the Prime reason that today we call our self the citizen of free India. He is the man every Indian mother would be proud to have him as her son. I wish we had lot more citizens like Mangal Pandey today to fight against Aamir and Ketan Mehta (director). Now coming to the movie which is directly based on Mangal’s life I must tell you that if I ever met Aamir Khan or Ketan Mehta in person, I shall whack them hard. What a mockery they have made of first martyr of our country? Why can’t they stick to their regular love story and family drama, if they don’t know to respect a martyr? I feel there is a urgent need to ban making movie on our freedom fighters.

The current Actors and Directors are not all capable of making decent movie on their life except to certain extent SRK. They always end up making fun of them be it Bhagat Singh or Mahatma Gandhi. And Aamir and Ketan are no exceptions in this. This is, beyond a doubt, the most terrible portray of Mangal that you will ever come across. If Aamir and Ketan Mehta have lost their sense of moral proportion, must we, as citizens of Mangal’s country of birth, lose ours? We should not encourage these filmmakers to make more of these stupid movies by watching such useless movie. There is simply no reason to watch this movie. The movie starts and end showing the same frame where Mangal Pandey is hanged for his act against the COMPANY. There is nothing in the movie which shows you about the childhood of Mangal. There is not a single minute in whole movie where you can feel for character of Mangal Pandey. Instead of that you are bombarded with vulgar show of huge cleavage of Rani Mukherjee and other woman character. Can I ask the makers of this movie what they want to prove to us by all those cleavage and vulgar dialogues? How are these things related to Mangal Pandey? Can they tell the audience where they got such ridiculous piece of history? Instead of making a hero of Mangal Pandey they have made trash of our first fight for freedom against the COMPANY.

Aamir should have hanged himself in the end instead of hanging the character of Shaheed Mangal Pandey. Everytime you have a decent scene building up you are tortured with all those jhatka of Rani which is utterly cheap. After watching the movie how I wish that the scene where Aamir shoot himself would have come LIVE. I wont waste my review space telling you about Ketan Mehta. He needs an urgent psychiatric help, that’s all I can say about him. The next wheel of the movie is Aamir Khan. It’s very hard to describe the stupidity and lunacy of his acting. There is no pain of a freedom fighter on his face. He is one of the most over rated actor of Bollywood. He is a BIG blemish in the whole plot. There is nothing that is worth mentioning regarding his acting. There is no facial expression nor the body movement or his tongue that can make you feel that he is Mangal Pandey in the Movie. He calls himself perfectionist to the core but if this what he call perfection which almost took 5 years for him to build then Mr. Khan you better start looking for another career than acting. The audience has had enough of your drama and choosiness. I pray your next movie comes in the year 2070 so that by that time I won’t be there to see it and curse you. Mr Khan you cannot even think of portraying a sweeper (the character of achut) of the 1857 mutiny then how dare you thought you can portray Mangal? You should have taken some example from SRK regarding playing a famous history character. (Role played by SRK in ASOKA). Aamir you are a shame on our country and you have messed up it all big time.

Mr. Aamir Khan you should apologize to Shaheed Mangal Pandey and to the nation for your part in and as 'Mangal Pandey' - The Rising.

The bottom line is 'Mangal Pandey - The Rising' is 3 hours of disrespect to Shaheed Mangal Pandey. It’s a disregard to the citizen of this country. Aamir just want to make his bank balance high by projecting a famous personality of our country. Its my request please avoid Mangal Pandey - The Rising for today and avoid any more movies of Aamir Khan in future.
