Rahman +Javed Akthar=Magic. Review on Mangal Pandey - The Rising Songs

Plus points First..... Rahman is composing music... Amir Khan is the hero....... Javed Akthar pens the https://lyrics..... Mega budget movie......... To say that expectations are quite high is a understatent..To be honest however good the songs might be the initial reaction will be songs are ordinary.But with Rahman being music director whose music is like slow poison for which any person with ear will get addicted to gradually,this album is no different. First time u listen to the songs u will like ''Mangala Mangala'' song..Then will feel ''Takey Takey'' is ok, ''Mahi Vari Vari'' is ok.and other songs bad...But as us start listening to it repeatedly u will explore the different dimensions provided by Rahman in this album. The best song in this album is undoubtaby ''Mangala Mangala''..All the three version of this song simply rocks..Credit shud go to Khailash Kher for putting in great effort for this song. Then comes ''Mahi Vari'' and ''Rasiya'' both are melodius songs and will appeal to everyone.The song ''Takey Takey'' is tailor made by Rahman for his fans..The way the words are pronounced and the usage of instruments every thing is experimental..though it resembles one of his previous composition, its a good track. The Holi song and the devotional song seems very situational and it wudnt be good to comment on those songs before watching the movie. the minus point.... From the songs it quite evident that most of the songs are situational and didnt give much scope for the composer to create tunes. But inspite of having restrictions to create songs for a particular period,Rahman has come up with winning tunes with exceptional orchestra which cud be felt only by people who have good audio system.If u r going to listen the song online or by downloding some real player format files,u better dont listen to Mangal pandey.And of u listen that way dont go around saying that the music is not good..This is one gem of a composition created by A.R.Rahman which will survive for years to come.
