I would like to share the details of a bike trip I had with my cousins in the last weekend (Saturday 23 July).

Startup

We were 6 people - 3 bikes

  1. Herohonda Joy (Sterin, Jeijo)

  2. Bajaj Pulsar (Dennis, Seethal)

  3. Suzuku Fiero (Sijo , Allen)

We were planning for a 100 km trip to the meeting place of 3 rivers!!!! We started at 10 am, went through Bansankari - Kanakapura - Sangam route, this is the longest trip I ever went till now!!! After entering the Bansankari - Kanakapura highway we were racing around 80 - 90 km/hr. My bike was running in full throttle with its max speed 85km/hr. Reached Kanakapura (60 km) at 11. 15. We had a break there and started from there at 11.30 to Sangamam (next 40 km). Road was not wide enough for a bus but recently polished. We had small photo sessions on the way.

Small accident

After the last photo session it was only 5 km to the Sangamam. My cousin wanted a drive so I gave the driving seat to him. Our bike was in the front. It was the first turn for him and the curve was "U" shaped. He lost the control our bike crashed on a big stone. We both were on the road. And pulsar came after that. He managed to turn the bike properly. Fiero also lost control in similar way as ours. We lost almost 45 min there. Then trip continued to reach the place at 1.00.

Sangam

We parked our bikes there and reached near the river, which was almost 1meter deep. Here is the meeting place of 3 rivers. A lot of people (around 50) were playing in the water. We crossed the river in a round boat (similar to Hoganakkal). We had to travel 4 km to reach mekedatu in a local bus.

Mekedatu

It was really a bad road and adventurous too. Big rocky mountains welcomed us in mekedatu (similar to Hogenakkal). We got down from bus. We had to walk a long distance down through steep rocky steps to reach the river.side. Cauveri was flowing there 5 mtr wide with all her furiosity. We climbed a long distance to reach the water level. The poor girl Seethal was very tired after climbing the rocks. We took some snaps there.

Force of water

We then planned for a bath. But the flow was really furious and varying. So I decided the check the flow. I got down in the water by gripping my hands on the rock. It was ok so I relaxed a little bit. Suddenly a wave with big force stroked me I lost grip of one hand. But other hand was still holding the rock. Everybody frightened for a moment but I managed to hold on rock with 2 hands within seconds with small struggle. We dropped the plan of swimming and bathing.

Crossing Sangamam

After spending some more time there we came back. While crossing Sangamam River, we 3 boys crossed the river by walking. Water was up to our stomach level. It was nice to walk through the flowing water. While coming back we stopped at the accident spot and written our names in the rock we crashed to. It was 4.30.

Chunch falls

There was a water falls nearby at a distance of 15 km from Sangamam on the way back. It was a very small water falls. We went there and had a small bath in the calmly flowing chilled water. We started from there at 5.30. It was very cold while coming back even though all had jackets and helmets. My bikes wheel alignment was really dangerous due to accident. So we rode only at a speed of 60 km/hr while coming back.

Police

In a Jayanagar signal junction police caught my bike. He asked about the crashed number plate. I explained him about the accident and trip to Sangamam. There was also a blood spot on my cousin’s face. I managed to convince him. We reached bang at 8 pm and dispersed after dinner.
