I bought a Swift VXi from Sagar Automobiles, Bannerghatta road, Bangalore.


I left my vehicle at Mandovi motors, Vijaynagar, Bangalore for its first free service.


I left at Mandovi because it was the nearest service center for me, I stay at Rajeshwari Nagar.


Service personal courtesy is good but quality of vehicle service is very bad.


While leaving the vehicle for service I complained about the sound which comes when the front door is closed with windows down.


Also complained about the rubber quality of rear windows.


Service person said he will rectify/solve these issues.


When I took delivery (first service) in the evening.


During delivery they brought the car and parked outside on the road, so I did not pay attention to the quality of service.


Once I reached home, I noticed all these problems.


Glass was not clean.


Door handles were greasy.


Even inside the car there were traces of greasy hands.


Door sound and rubber issues were not resolved.


Then I wrote a letter with the feedback form, stating the quality of service.


After few days I got a call from their manager asking to bring the vehicle back so that they can fix the problem.


I took the vehicle back after 1 week, they checked and said they cannot do anything to the window problem and said it’s a known issue with Swift cars because there is a speaker provision.


UPDATED


Finally the door pane noise was resolved on 08-Jan-2007, once we escalated the issue to Maruti Udyog, New Delhi.


Once it was escalated, we got a call from Customer Support, Mandovi Motors and they enquired the issue and asked to bring the vehicle.


We took the vehicle to Mandovi, and service center engineers/mechanics seem to have NO knowledge about this noise issue and said they cannot resolve this.


or they want to avoid fixing this issue because vehicle is still under warranty and they cannot charge any money to customer.


Customer support executive from Mandovi with whom I spoke, she came and explained that it’s been informed by Maruti Udyog to replace/fix a plastic part which eliminates this problem.


So after this, they installed the plastic part (I don't know the exact name), we checked the noise issue and it was resolved.


My Suggestion


If you are a Swift Customer and if your vehicle gives same type of noise from the front doors then it has to be fixed by Maruti Service people under warranty (if your swift is under warranty)


To Mandovi Motors,


I thankyou very much for fixing this issue. If this issue was fixed in the first service itself, then there would have been no window for escalation.
