Hi...

Manali is one of the most beautiful places in India and the world. The reason being that the local people are very much concerned about the environment. It was such a great experience visiting that place.. Believe me I would suggest travelling freaks to take 10 days off and head towards this place.

One should stay in Manali for two days and next head for rohtang pass. That place snows 365 days a yr. You get to see the highest italian pizza hut there in the world. We went to these places somewhere on Oct 1st week. Take your warm clothes, gloves and jackets. From there we headed for spiti valley.. This you gotta see..The speciality of going during this season is you can see cold a desert.. Nothing.... Only Our Himalayas and lines of rivers flowing. On the way you get to see chandrabagh .

The river water is just too sweet and tasty. They say you should not drink too cold water but what the heck! If you can tolerate the temperature u can enjoy it. Moreoever it has natural minerals..You need tojust experience that.. it is bluish green in color. The sky.. oh gosh.. You get bored of seeing the faded skies in our city becoz of pollution and you see a damn clear sky there.. a real baby blue color..

The next pass while going is Kunjum pass. That area is tooo chill becoz u r goin up the mountain..So my friends... please do take enough cold cream, vasaline lip balm.. While coming back it was a wonderful sight to see.. White and brown. It was a hot choclate fudge. You just see mountains of various sizes and rocks too.. But it sure is an adventure but you are travelling on a very narrow road. If you a nature freak do take enough pics.. When you reach the spiti valley you see small houses and kids who donot even sweaters only caps playin around. The govt has provided them with school and hospital and are provided with basic provisions. We move on to Kaza which is supposedly is known to be the highest village in the world. Can you believe that...temp falls to - 25 C - 30C min during the winters and more in the nights. From Kaza you can see the monastries like Key Kibber, Pin Valley, Tabu. You can visit these places and return to kaza as the rest spot.

4-5 days would be good tosee these areas. If you want a break from Mobile phones, computers and office work..No one to contact you. This is the right place to visit. Becoz you donot have networks too.... and about newspapers I doubt so..Just enjoy like those locals who are happy with what they have.. They have really maintained the place so well.. it is still unexplored and people from canada, swizz, Aus are visiting it.. They just adore this place becoz they really have not experienced this kind of chillness and visiting our body guards of india is one great thing,

While coming back you can see fresh snows on the mountain peaks.. People literally to reach the villages. You can get to see the Yak also.. They are timid creatures.

Once you are back to manali you can rest.. Since went during Dusshera , Kulu Dusshera is famous and is a must see..You can see the diff contests and try the local food. Manali you can try para gliding and visit the local shops. If you wanna buy shawls , get it from the kulu factory..Expensive but worth it.

Trust me it is indeed a good break. Once again make sure you will Chandrathal, Kaza, Spiti valley, and other monastries. You can even get to see the highest monastry with electricity in the world and highest post office in the world. If you are lucky you can even see the monastries room.

In the end.. Just remember.. Take enough memory sticks , video cam, Warm clothes, People with wheezing-- please take ur inhalers.. And walk slow.SInce the altitude is verrry high somewhere around 16-18K, you might feel tired easily and avoid eatting too heavy also.

If you wanna see the snow - Aug-Oct 22nd ( after which the army willnot allow any travel becoz of heavy snow fall)... and again may - July) It is just green.....
