Firstly let me thank Chrishtopher Nolan for producing it and also getting his Dark Knight (David Goyes the writer) to write the evolution of Krypton and its kryptonites, the star cast lead by Henry Cavill a very appropriate face for the future of this series, a very likeable thing about him even though I did not get to see much of Clark Kent, (trivia he was supposed to be the next Bond before Daniel Craig pipped him to the post)as for the others Russel Crowe magnanimous as ever, Kevin Costner yet can leave an imprint behind and wonderfully supported by Diane Lane, the others were there to keep the screenplay moving, I must add why did Laurence Fishbourne do this bit role.
The movie has two parts to it one is the Christopher Nolan part which I believe is the story, buildup, screenplay, background score, content with superlative performances especially in the first half and then the Zack Snyder part where he has shown how a city can come down to rubble, the director has cast Michael Shannon as Zod the protector of Krypton and he delivers well too, what I did see was quality of CG dropping in this movie maybe the benchmarks have gone too high for me to feel that a wee bit, the chemistry failed for me with Krypton boy and Amy adams as Lois lane, this one is a watch for the true blooded superman fans and leaves me asking for more than the smash, bang, thud effect it has shown.Nolan had shown what Batman begins was the base to the astonishing Dark Knight. So with that thought I expect more for the future of Superman (so called by the citizens of Earth)
