Wrong treatment in Mallige lead to untimely death

I want to put my experience with Mallige medical Centre, shivananda circle, race course road, Bangalore. My father(aged around 65 years) was admitted here for high fever symptoms. As we stay in Bellary from our home town Dr. Srikanth Gadwalkar referred us to Mallige hospitals even though my dad had responded well to his treatment still he insisted for further tests needs to be done from Mallige hospital, Bangalore he referred us to Dr. T.S Ravindra, which made us to unnecessarily to take a trip to Bangalore during this time of the health condition(as  my dad was already in recovery status) here we were bound to follow the Dr’s instructions and he head off to Mallige despite it was very far from my home town. This made us to take my dad to Mallige hospital was all because of Dr. Srikanth Gadwalkar and Dr T.S Ravindra they both were best friends and studied medicine together which we hoped and believed they both are in very good terms and they communicate each other regularly this will make the treatment go well – which was totally wrong by the way as they only cared for each other’s commission money not about the patient care which we came to know very lately about this.

Here in Mallige we consulted Dr T.S Ravindra and got admitted here on 27th Aug 2017. As we noticed from day one he is very very  rude and not approachable and very  least concerned about the critically ill elderly  patient, who needed a medical attention and care, he was not regular on visiting the patient and he denied and shouted on me when I went to meet him and wanting to know what’s my dad’s problem is and how’s he planning to treat him?, he shouted on me and asked me to get out of his way  -  saying ‘you should not come here( to his cabin) and I have got no time for you’ by shouting this he avoided the talk with patient’s family and never disclosed or discussed any of the treatment plans during the course of treatment in the hospital.

Dr T.S Ravindra is not at all patient friendly during his visiting hours my mom and dad requested him to listen to them as they were trying to explain their situation that the fever is not getting better and I’m getting week day by day I need you help please help me(my dad with so much respect and politeness he tried to explain Dr)– for this he replied shouting loudly ‘put the board to these old lady(my mom)’, as she is nagging me so much by keep repeating the problem. This was very shocking to hear from him and truly an unethical behaviour from a Doctor and which was very disappointing and a heart breaking experience for my elder parents seeing his irresponsible talk and an un-acceptable behaviour from the treating Doctor.

Due to his negligence my dad’s high fever symptoms worsen without medication and no monitoring. This Dr doesn't give you sufficient time to get suggestion rather he gets annoyed. When my mom asked Dr did you get a chance to speak to the referring Doctor from Bellary( Dr. Srikanth Gadwalkar) or did he gave you a call to explain my husband’s case as he promised us during the discharge from Panduranga Hospital in Bellary. He said NO as no one has contacted me; neither he tried to call Bellary Dr and find out the patient history  is before starting his own investigations and tests. This shows how careless he’s in knowing and finding out the patient history.

He went on re-doing and repeating all irrelevant and random tests including CT scan, MRI, ultrasound various blood tests and blood culture tests etc.  upon the week patient by extracting more and more blood every day as result the high fever returned back and my father’s health got worsened, during this Dr T.S Ravindra failed to contact his fellow Doctors, despite  my father’s week condition he kept him on whole day fasting for endoscope and then abruptly cancelled this, as the other Doctor scolded him how can you conduct a endoscopy when the patient is so week and which is not necessary for the fever diagnosis – This was told in front of us in the lab listening to this my parents felt very  heart-breaking and they were very disappointed by such irresponsible and careless  acts of Dr T.S Ravindra.

As we saw from various test reports every report was absolutely normal and all the organ test reports(heart, kidney, lungs, liver, and pancreas, prostate. etc.) were all in very good normal condition so there is nothing wrong with any parts of the body still Dr T.S Ravindra failed to find out the cause of the fever and what kind of viral fever is this with the visible symptoms from the patient and what kind of treatment should be given to this patient on time so that this  high fever can be handled.

During this process of my father started showing up the low blood levels in the body and then gradually the blood platelets count started falling down, despite these known symptoms Dr T.S Ravindra  was least worried about these facts and he didn’t start the timely treatment to rebuild this blood count instead Dr T.S Ravindra again kept my dad on fast and wanted to do ultrasound this has further worsen the situation and eventually my father collapsed and he was short of breath and then they shifted to ICU with ventilator and finally died on 9th Aug 2017.

Neither the management nor the Doctor none of them were not contactable while my dad was in ICU and no one till today are able to answer what was the treatment they have given and what was the illness? And why my father died untimely? What led him for his death? Given that there was no pre-existing illness and every single report was normal and what was the reason which was causing this high fever? What kind of viral fever was this?  All these questions are still unanswered from the Mallige staff(Mr. Ranga swamy(GM), Dr.Rashmi Nair(GRO), Dr.Sudarshini(MS) and Dr T.S Ravindra as no one is approachable and none of them have given any kind of response.

Never ever go to this Doctor(Dr T.S Ravindra) and to this Mallige nursing home and they will kill the health person without any reason just for the sake of money making business. They were least bothered about the life of a human being.

When we tried to contact the management staff [(Mr. Ranga swamy(GM), Dr.Rashmi Nair(GRO), Dr.Sudarshini(MS)]and expressed our interest to speak to the treating doctor( DR. T.S Ravindra) after  2 weeks of several follow up phone calls the DR. T.S Ravindra came on phone line and his words are like this -  I did not understand this case  and I was unable to figure out what’s making him sick( high fever) like this and while I was trying/studying to understand this situation by then the patient was going week day by day and that old man collapsed and died( he referred my 64 year old father as an old man – how disrespectfully he’s talking to us  over the phone this clearly  shows his bad attitude towards the patients and their family). By hearing this my blood was boiling and as we are in grief he didn’t even try to understand and never helped us this guy totally lacks humanity this totally unacceptable, here the Dr T.S Ravindra and the hospital moto is only making money in higher and higher amounts, the immature and amateur doctor with attitude is totally not-eligible for this profession.

I feel dejected at how Mallige is looting money while they admit the patient and conduct so many random tests and the care is only performed by some Junior Doctors and nurses and tests are done by some random students. Pathetic show Mallige Hospitals! I hope people read this review with regards to how horrible and useless Mallige Hospital management and staff and the doctors team is.

I would suggest not visiting the Mallige hospital and never consult DR. T.S Ravindra as they both see the patient as a money providing machine they neglect and give some medicines to deteriorate the health more and eventually make us to die in the hospital bed like as we live in my father’s case.
