Vibrant India with more and more malls

Shopping mall culture is rapidly inspiring Indian masses. Today we find gigantic shopping malls in each and every city and towns of India.  Though we already have considerable number of malls more and more malls are on different stages of construction going to open up for public in coming future.

However all is not well with malls, it is not so successful in many parts of India, for instance Ahmedabad is a place where Mall managements are finding very tough to survive and get back the money invested in it. But small cities like Rajkot is doing well with more than 5 malls running well and more to add on to make a check on others.

Why investors are more interested in building more and more malls, Perhaps this is one of the readily available platforms to make use of unaccounted money earned through real estate or other source and if things work out well it can expect to get back the investment in 3-5 years time.

One pitiful nature we have developed in the present society is everything we do for making more and more money at the end we save money at the cost of cutting or neglecting quality.  When you watch most of the malls that are running now, all are having serious maintenance issues in each and every area. Toilets are the serious concern; mostly it will be stinking with lots of water blocking the flow and many places you don’t find minimum amenities or even it is available it will not work.

I sincerely agree with Mall owners argument that though they arrange first class facilities users are not up to the mark to use it the way it is to be; yes our brothers and sisters are mostly eating tambaku or Ghutka splitting anywhere and everywhere, like it is shown in 3ideots movie we can’t change our public we have to provide services to overcome their misuse. Gradually over a period of time they may understand the expected level of maintenance and cope up with it.

I always believe that any of our bigwigs think of making a world’s best construction, we surely can do it. But when it comes to maintenance we are the last. When you see the building which has inaugurated a year ago it looks like a 10 years old.

As we compare ourselves in many ways with china, if we see the constructions in big cities of China like Shanghai, Guangzhou you will find it amazing after 10years of existence also it looks like a new construction.

There every Street and building has CCTV system which runs 24/7 with a staff watching and acting on anything crossing the accepting norms. In India how many Mall we have CCTV systems effectively running. We can say it is zero.

So long we don’t develop concern for our lives, respect for each other’s life, develop a sense of “we”ness, and understand money is not everything, our lives are always at risk.
