The book provides a perfect afternoon for those who would love to skip their nap.
RK Narayan's simplicity and mastery of the narration keeps the reader hooked along with the lovely handpicked stories from the times of the village Malgudi.
The place that probably didn't exist in any map of the country but has all sorts of people who can give you a run for your read.
I absolutely enjoyed the book and it's worth a read as it doesn't need you to be at heights of intellect in order to understand it. Even a school going kid would love the read.
