Malcom & his Mom !. Review on Malcom in Middle

Malcom in the Middle is a new comedy serial on Star World, Sun 5:00pm [I wonder why all the good shows are on Star World?] :)

Malcom In The Middle is a delightfully funny sitcom, I was hooked to this show from the first episode. The show portrays a family that appears to be dysfunctional one but is just a exaggerated version of a typical american family.

Malcom, is a smart nine year old kid, who swears a lottttttt, keeps his private journal on a web page & doesn't hesitate to shout at his wheelchair-bound friend. He has a really weird family ---

Daddy - Hal : a simpleton...........more like a grown up kid, at times stupid & funny, usually busy with his work & alwayz obeying his wife & a very loving dad.

Mom - Lois : a strict mom who manages to keep an eye over all the kids, alwayz knows what her kids are upto & foils all their plans, a total madcap lady who sometimes answers the door topless !!!

A wild older brother - Francis : whom Malcom adores coz he thinks Francis is the only 'normal' one in his family. Francis is in military school coz he had trouble following directions [from Mom] and had constantly clashes [with Mom]. Besides this he also gets time for pranks like blowing up a car, which did not belong to the family. The kids alwayz call him up for consultation as they think Francis knows the best way to 'deal' with mom.

Another elder brother - Reese : a dim-wit of whom malcom says ''He's not as dumb as he looks. He's dumber''. Reese likes fighting, making fun of everyone and bullies other kids. Malcom likes him a lot coz Reese alwayz stands up for him when other kids poke fun at him.

A little brother - Dewey : who embarrasses Malcom coz Dewey is smelly & he eats anything he finds lying around & thinks he can talk to dogs ! In the beginning the boys adored him and included him in all their pranks, till dewey started talking & telling mom ! Dewey is the gem of the show, very cute & lovable character, he has been given some really cool lines & scenes, which this kid actor plays perfectly. Just looking at him makes me laugh, the kid is damn cute :)

In the first episode, we are introduced to his family where Malcom tells us about the speciality of each of his family member & then the show goes on..........Malcom's school teacher tells him that he is genius with an IQ of 165 ! However [as it happens with all geniuses] most of the people think Malcom is a bit strange. His teacher wants him to be in a ''special class'' and writes to his mother, who doesn't respond coz she has no idea what a genius is ! She thinks that her son is being labeled with something bad. So one day, his teacher pays a visit to Malcom's mother & persuades her to put him in this special class. Malcom refuses to go but no one in the family can survive Mom's wrath, so poor Malcom has to join these classes, where he meets his friend Stevie. From then, life changes for Malcom, everyone looks at him differently & the show is about his relation with family, school, friends & neighbourhood.

Malcom's parents aren't exactly ideal homemakers and their four sons are more than a handful of trouble. The house is alwayz messed up with the kids fighting, mom shouting & dad trying to watch sports on TV. But, the family members love each other , want to be together & do what is best for each other............ the parents want to ''be able to handle the kids till the last one turns 18''. When Francis is sent away to military school, Malcom is left in the middle between Reese & Dewey, hence the show is called Malcom in the Middle.

Overall, its a good show which is made better with perfect acting by the cast. The actresses who plays mom is excellent, she runs the whole show, besides Malcom :)
