Priyadarshan is delivering hits like there is no tomorrow. Malamaal Weekly, his latest venture I suppose will continue his terrific form. Malamaal Weekly is complete village comedy with shrewd and smart villagers playing a united game to win the lottery.

The fun in the movie starts when Lilaram(Paresh Rawal) learns one of the lotteries he sold has won the first prize of 1 crore. He traces that it was Anthony who has won the lottery and reaches his place to find him dead with lottery ticket in his hand. Ballu (Om puri) catches him there and they both agree to share the money. As further reels start rolling the comic situations keep getting better as the secret keeps spreading and finally about 25-30 villagers agree to share the 1 crore lottery prize by foxing the Lottery inspector.

Some of the scenes in the movie are trully hilarious

1)The scene when Paresh comes to know that the lottery inspector has arrived and taking him all around the village to give enough time for Om Puri to reach Anthony's house is too good

2)The church scene where the funeral ceremony of Anthony (actual lottery owner) is taking place and then Lottery Inspector suddenly arrives. The way Paresh Rawal foxes the lottery inspector and then Om Puri getting irritated is truly funny

3) Priyadarshan's movies always have a strong and very funny climax. I still cant forget the climax of Hungama and Garam Masala. Especially the one in Garam Masala was too funny. Malamaal Weekly also has the same trademark Priyadarshan finish.

Lookout for the last scene when Arbaaz Khan (lottery inspector) thinks he has done a big mistake by hitting the vehicle of the thakurayin (Sudha Chandran). The way the villagers gather round him, stare at him and then one by one tells him to forget everything and never come back to the village is very hilarious.

Performance wise Paresh Rawal is too good. Probably this is his best role after Hera Pheri. Om Puri also has a meaty role and is first class. Especially lookout for him when he says 'church ke pithaji'..Asrani is efficient. Ritesh was impressive as well..

The dialogues are fantastic and makes the movie more effective.

This Priyadarshan movie is a Comedy of Secrets...Worth Watching
