MakeMyTrip Care is working closely with MouthShut.com to achieve customer satisfaction

I booked a hotel with ID NH2114730162232 . The system/myself created a error and booked occupancy as 1 instead of 2. I immediately realized and called MMT. As per executive this was to be sought by Hotel. Hotel said MMT paid them per occupancy.(MMT Prices for single and double were same. shared the snapshot with MMT then itself). However I have to shelve Rs 1500/- at hotel.


Then I logged a formal complaint. They closed the call at least 5 times even after agreeing Hotel has agreed to refund the money. Today they have refunded the my money after 1.5 months, 10 emails,2 formal emails required to approach honorable Consumer court and spending atleast 20 hrs with zero ethics company in form of imint/wallet and Rs256 back to my credit card.


The fight latter was not for Rs1500/- but more on unethical business practices.


I will rate them shameless cheater company.

Further we have investigated that while booking user had opted for only single occupancy and as per the hotel policy which customer can check while booking and even on the voucher -" For any update, User shall pay applicable cancellation/modification charges " & "The cancellation/modification charges are standard and any waiver is on the hotel's discretion"
In your case hotel had charged you INR 1500/- to make the occupancy as 2.

Since you had disputed and asked for the refund of INR 1500/- our hotel contracting team had worked it out by speaking to the hotel reservation manager.

We understand that it has taken time but that is because initially hotel was not allowing any refund because it was their standard charged and same was mentioned in their policy which was shown to customer while booking also and even on the hotel voucher.
We would also like to explain that refund of INR 1500/- was processed as one transaction however because of the multiple modes of payment in booking NH2114730162232 refund of INR 1500 got processed in 3 transactions to Payback,My wallet & Diners Club card because refund was processed by automation it was processed in the same order in which we had received the payment from customer which is mentioned as below:

1st mode of payment:Payback

2nd mode of payment:My wallet

3rd mode of payment:Diners Club
We understand that over all experience was not at all god and we again apologise to you for same.
But certainly we would like to inform you that since we have now processed the applicable refund to customer there is no more refund due on this booking.
