A Psychedelically well made, Nancy-Drew style, kid-mystery with lyrics by Gulzar so macabre, they could make it to the audition of a hindi version of Iron-Maiden. Really !
Vibrant cinematography, set in authentic villages around the lush 'Alibag' area.
Brilliant acting by 'Chunni' and the Chicken-guy (he was great in 'Satya' too, as the hypertense yet brooding 'Vakil Mule')
Rarely has a child actor come across as smart, without seeming over-smart.Not a single dull moment.
Although would have liked better Music, Gulzar's lyrics seemed wasted. The lyrics are worth paying attention to. Path breaking stuff, they really get under the skin of the film.
A more energetic/ominous beat would have complemented Gulzars dark verses, like a charm.
Kids will lap up this movie, and want more. A treat for the entire family.
