BE CAREFUL WHILE USING A HAND BLENDER
Aug 15, 2007 07:21 PM 4432 Views

Hand blenders are useful equipment, particularly for housewives who find using a mixer grinder cumbersome. Mixer grinders, though useful equipment for kitchens are sometimes difficult to use, many housewives finding the attachments and settings too bothersome.

Moreover, mixer grinders are heavy equipments and moving them about in the kitchen is a tedious job. Hand blenders on the other hand are lightweight, uncomplicated and suited for a variety of common kitchen applications. You can easily do wet grinding, blending, egg beating, chopping etc using a hand blender. Its attachments / blades are easy to fix and change, and at the end of work, easier to clean too. You can even blend a baby's meal with cooked rice / wheat, dal, vegtables etc. to a fine consistency.

*However, there are a few precautions to be observed while using  hand blender

  1. Never leave a blender lying around while connected to the mains.

  2. Always switch off the mains switch when your chore is over

  3. Keep them out of reach of children

  4. Always run the blender with the blades within the designated container

  5. Dont 'fire' a blender in the air

  6. Never attempt to take a running blender out of its container. Wait for the blades to stop rotating.

  7. Double check the attachments before switching it on

  8. Clean the blades in running water and dont try to clean those with your hand. You may cut your fingers.

  9. Clean the power chord too with a moist cloth, otherwise roaches in the kitchen will make a meal of the power chord encasing.

  10. Finally, allow the blender to dry thorouhly before you put it back in the cabinet.

Enjoy your cooking
