Karan: Hello and welcome to yet another episode of our show Lassi with Me... err, Lassi with Karan that you all love so much. Tonight our first guest is someone whom you all are familiar with. He’s one of the most successful actor at the present time. He has had his share of mishappenings in the past, but today, he has specially got a bail from Jodhpur to attend this show. Please welcome, the one and only Salman Khan...

Karan: Hi Salman! Welcome to the show! Glad you could make it here tonight. So please tell us something about the music of your latest movie MAINE PYAAR KYUN KIYA.

Salman: In 1987, I said ’’Maine Pyaar Kiya’’, and I regret the same at present. The music of the film has been given by Himesh Reshammiya who gave some soulful melodies in my film ’’Tere Naam’’. Lyrics are penned by the ever-regular Sameer saab. Those stupid people... They never do anything if somebody else does a big crime. They re-opened a 1998 case and...

Karan: Oh Salman what are you saying? Just forget about your personal life at present and let’s talk about the music of the movie. Just chill...

Salman: Sorry yaar. Oh ya, thanks for it. Just Chill is actually a song from the album of my movie too. A very peppy kinda track where I dance with Katrina, while my bro Sohail desperately tries to create trouble for me. The song is really a rocking song, and I bet, you won’t be able to control your feet when you hear this. However, I don’t realize why ’’Chill, Chill’’ has been made to pronounce as ’’Chiaaao, Chiaaao!’’ Ya, there’s a remix of the same too that begins with a bang and is a perfect number for a disco or a grand party.

Karan: Aah! So a great start to the album with this one, what say?

Salman: Ya absolutely correct. Then there’s another really funny song in Yeh Ladki where proposal goes on. Both of us tell (Myself and Katrina) tell each other - Wanna spend the rest of my life with you. Being quite short in duration, of around four minutes, it ends without taxing the brains of the listener in any way. Just like the previous one, the song has a remix too, which is about half-a-minute longer than the original version due to extra beats and stuff. It’s cool to listen to it too!

Karan: Alright Salman. So far so good. Ladies and gentlemen, our next guess tonight is the extremely charming and sexy supermodel Katrina Kaif. She was initially believed to have signed the film just because of her so-called boyfriend Salman, which both of them denied later. She claims that she got a chance to display her acting skills in the movie. Welcome Katrina to the show.

Katrina: Thank you Karan. Hi Salman. Howz life with you?

Karan: ..... Katrina we are at present talking about your film’s music. What would you like to tell us about it? Any songs that you would recommend us?

Katrina: Ya sure, why not? We have this ched-chaad song Saajan Tumse Pyaar which musically sounds like a routine Anand-Milind melody, but the lyrics have a typical David Dhawan feel to it. Alka and Udit sing it in their regular manner. If you’ve heard the song ’’Laal Dupatta’’ from David’s earlier Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, you might get a slight feeling of déjà vu, as the overall feel of the track is similar to that one. But similarities end here. For a change, no remix for this one! Enjoy it!

Karan: Aha! Ched-chaad song. Me also planning to have one in my next directional venture. Any further recommendations?

Katrina: Ya another fun-filled song is Laga Prem Rog, which is not picturized on me but on Sushmita. The thing...

Salman: Yaar just listen to the song and imagine Sushmita in it. You’ll not be able to wait to see this one! And on the top of it, a sensuous Sushmita in a saree like you saw her in Main Hoon Na!

Katrina: And Salman’s antics in the song appear very good too. Alka Yagnik does a wonderful job out here which fits Sushmita like a glove. Kamaal Khan does a decent job too. And again for a change, there is also a remix on this one, which is a bit disappointing after the amazing original!

Karan: Okay now, so enough of it. Let me now being with my rocking rapid-fire. I begin with you Katrina.

Karan: Under what category would you classify Dil Di Nazar - romantic or masti?

Katrina: A bit of both. A romantically mastiful number.

Karan: On whom is it filmed - you or Salman?

Katrina: On all the four characters, it seems.

Karan: What type of a music does it have - soft or loud.

Katrina: Hmmm... Not a typical Himesh Reshammiya number. Go for it! It’s just as rocking as your rocking rapid-fire.

Karan: Which singer would you recommend - Shaan, or the new ones?

Katrina: All are equally good, though Shaan gets more lines to sing.

Karan: And finally, does it have a remix ?

Katrina: Ya of course! Again, this remix is just about okay type. Nothing much to rave about!

Karan: Aahh! So there you are Katrina! Quite a bad round of my rapid-fire must say! Now I move on to Salman.

Karan: What would you say about Ishq Chunariya ? Befitting the mood of the album till now or deviating from its path?

Salman: A bit deviating. A good song but not fun-filled.

Karan: So from where has Himesh copied? From Anu Malik or someone else?

Salman: None yaar. This slightly resembles his own ’’Tera Pallu Sarka Jaaye Re’’ from Dulhan hum Le Jaayenge.’

Karan: So Himesh continues his ’chunari’ funda with this too - yes/no.

Salman: Yes buddy!

Karan: Which singer has done better - Udit or Alka?

Salman: It’s the combination that works in a song like this. Both are fine.

Karan: Finally, any remixes?

Salman: Yaar when Himesh can have an entire remix album for Aitraaz, why do you mind remix in this? Anyways not for this song!

Karan: Okay, so friends! We just finished our rocking rapid-fire with Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, and I am sorry to say that both of you were equally bad. Nevertheless, I agree that the fault was mine, for I asked you boring questions. So this Lassi hamper now belongs to me!

Salman: Not fair yaar! Katrina was really good.

Karan: Anyways now we have taken a survey on the music of the film from various sites. Would you like to know what they all think about the music of the film?

Salman-Katrina: No please, otherwise the review will move on to the comments section yaar.

Karan: Alright. So thank you for being with us.

(To viewers) I am glad to say that you will not see me in any of Ali’s future reviews, so please express your comments and opinions on this one as soon as possible. Thank You again! Good night, goodbye and take care. Ya, don’t forget to comment!. Bye!
