Well if you wanna save three precious hours of your (might get shorter life because of aids, sars and war) you stay away from this movie!...Well I did not expect a sensible story but surely I did expect some popcorn entertainment....which it failed to evoke, though the audiences helped generously with their smart remarks and hillarious comments! Three things are for sure, 1.Sooraj Barjatiya's stay in bollywood is about to get over. 2.Hritik is finished 3.The box office is about to face stormy times!

THE PLOT...

Well for those who have seen CHITCHOR, a rajshri film itself you dont need to read this because this is just the latest Version of candyfloss Chitchor with foreign locations, designer outfits and a pathetic screenplay which fails to recreate the magic of chitchor!...for others, it goes like this... Sanjana is a flamboyent, happy-go-lucky girl living in Sundarpur(Dont fool us Sooraj,if you have really shot this film in India and named the place sundarpur I am ready to pack my bags and shift there). Her mnoney and status crazy mother is always her life and wants sanjana to get married to a richie rich!Enter Prem 1(Hritik)..he has come down to look after business and gets introduced to sanjana through her sister who lives in the US of A! They fall in love and are encouraged by her parents to get married! Suddenly one day her sister emails and tells her parents that Premkumar has postponed his trip and will be likely to come in the next 2 days along with his mother, and that she has spoken to them about the rishta!...Her parents are shocked and after checking his bags chori chori chupke chupke they find out that he is Prem kishan a manager in Prem Industries and not Prem kumar! What will a money crazy mother do in this situation? What will Sanjana do? What happens to Prem Kishan? eeks....do I need to tell you?? Havent you aldready seen such trash in ample other flicks?.....

THE SCRIPT,THE DIRECTION AND TECHNECALITIES....

As you see the script is the biggest flaw, we have seen this before and we dont want to see the same crap again! Its so frustrating that the maker cant understand this! After watching a superb film like THE PIANIST I am even more frustrated! The directon is too flawed to even say a word about. He expects us to believe that a place which has spanking clean roads, which remembles the english country side and which has facilities like scuba diving , river rafting and paragliding and which has a college buliding which resembles a Foreign university and where all the cars are either Jaguars or BMW's and where the girls only wear Micro minis and where the college canteen resembles a 7* cafe house is 2 hours north of Delhi.I mean if u would have told us that they live in New Zeland it would'nt have atleast looked funny!...a guy in the front row commented '' dilli ke 2 ghante bad phorain hai yaar, hum yahan kya kar rahe hai''! The art direction, locations , sets and costumes are fantastic but sadly not appropriately placed!..The dialogues and the story are extreamly ordinary and cliched and the film is painfully lengthy, I cant manage to watch a film without a story for 31/2 hours! What adds even more to your on-going stress and pain while watching the movie are the songs which pop out of nowhere after every 3 mins! There are 10 songs..:((:((i was about to cry when I heard Chitra braying with her shreaking voice but managed to hold my tears! The only good track is ''oh ajnabi'' and probebly ''meri zindagi''.All the songs are wrongly placed and completely unnecessary, resulting in hampering the aldready sluggish pace of the film! Also a few scenes like the Valantine day scene which goes on for ever can be cut!..Also Jonny lever was not needed for comic relief since the whole film was made in such a bizzare manner that you did not need slapstick to irritate u further more!

THE PERFORMANCES...

HRITIK ROSHAN:Hritik roshan is finished for sure...the same role film after film? he is exactly the same love-me-i-am-the-sweetheart-prince, with those rediculous sentimental expressions. He too loud and you get bored when he talks endlessly in his heavily accented english and hindi which looks artificial and put-on(wrteee-for right,coo-for cool, prremm-for prem). He gives us an extra dose of over acting and has completely gone billistic in all scenes...even in those which did not need such an over excited human!

ABHISHEKH BACHCHAN:Abhishekh Bachchan as the tycoon has come up with a great performance and is a treat to watch. He is a relief after the over excited Hritik and does his role perfect justice! He looks good!

KAREENA KAPOOR:Kareena Kapoor is good in this movie and has thankfully spared us with that not-so-sexy pout and wierd facial expressions! She looks fantastic!

The supporting cast like JONNY LEVER, HIMANI SHIVPURI,REEMA LAGU and others were just about ok! Overall a very ordinary flick which you can definately give a skip, in order to save your life! Not recommended for Medical reasons like deterioration of the brain and psychological disorders that can be caused under the influence of immature characters who behave like morons! Also the irritating parrot can cause harm with his high frequency blabber!

Comments are welcome!

cheers!
