Amused!. Review on Main Aurr Mrs Khanna

Its been a while since I have been seriously amused. And if you thought amusement meant enjoying thyself. Naah! Here I refer to that prickly-irritating-getting-under –your-skin kind off concoction, at which you get amused, that such disaster was possible too.

Main aur Mrs Khanna is one such debacle.

Talk about breaking the cliché, the writer probably never realized that novelty needs sense and brains. Spot on from the time Kareena(Mrs Raina Khanna) appears in first scene picking up the newspaper and relating her tale, meeting love of his life(Mr. Sameer Khanna); who wooed her while she acted coy( though looking every bit desperate).You wait for some emotions to occur, but sadly none surface. So the sordid tale begins when Mr. Khanna deserts Mrs. Khanna because he needs to make good of his life, right before boarding the flight!! And before you could digest idiocy of one Khan, the other appears . Sohail Khan aka Akash trying to woo Mrs. Khanna. There is a constant shine and bling in the background emanating from none other than Bappi Lahiri himself. Post interval it racks your nerves more as Mr.Khanna chooses to return , and it becomes a complete circus out there. Ohh and while you are wondering why not Raina and Mrs. Khanna, be prepared for the clown of suspense!!

Two conclusions which I immediately predicted on watching the first few minutes was Kareena is just growing desperate day by day , if kambhakht ishq was a mistake this one is a blunder. Oodles of makeup non -existent figure and a constant pout could not add on any value to the screen. The second being that Salman needs a Botox treatment for sure or else soon he would be passing on to the character roles of a Casanova Dad, Brother and etcs.

The script is weird and baseless, and looks strongly a product of Khan Camp. Prem Soni was too ready to please and probably went by their whims and fancies. So on and on only two saving graces of the movie, “Don’t say Alvida”, which is a bit audible, and Preity doing a cameo which wakes you up for five minutes , till you find again fall into the trap of “ ohh Sameer”……”Not Again Mrs. Khanna”!!!!
