I purchased the New Age XUV 500 from the Mahindra owned showroom at Mumbai Chowpatty. This car was purchased a s a wedding anniversary gift to my wife. I must admit, we love the car, the features are wonderful, the suspensions are nice and improved.
For the price range, the quality of product and features are wonderful. The only drawback I find is the Mileage. My vehicle is giving me a mileage of just 10, which is horrible for a XUV, anyhow, I can make do with that. The second negative part of this vehicle was the purchasing process.
We hated the process of purchase. The company owned showroom had assured us a Free insurance, 3 free accessories and Rs. 10000/- as loyalty bonus discount(this loyalty discount was provided as I was a previous owner of the Mahindra Scorpio). But unfortunately this promised offer was not provided after en-cashing my advance payment, which was 100%. After applying for a loan and paying the showroom 100% advance payment, they en-chashed my DD and then turned down the offer, also the delivery period was delayed by 4 weeks. I Love Mahindra and their vehicles, its just the sales executives with their false promises, in-spite of written offer, are putting in a negative image.
