Terrible loss. Review on Mahindra XUV500

I thought I was upgrading myself from old tata safari to the new mahindra xuv500 but little did I know what terrible fate awaited me.

The innova top end the xuv500 top end price was almost similar and the xuv500 had better online reviews. Plus my impression of the innova was that it was a tourist vehicle or like a family vehicle . little did I know that this false impression would cost me a bomb in the year to come.

I think online reviews played a huge part in my purchasing decisions of the xuv500. Hence I am writing this review.

The xuv500 is swank . interiors and exterior design. Nice ac sound system and rear reverse cam.

It was all fine and sundry .

Till it crossed 75000 kms. And then the problems started . every time it went for servicing the bill would come a whopping 20-30 k. So I assumed since they were replacing the old parts with genuine new parts I was fine with it.but once it crossed 1, 00, 000 k . then the engine goes for a toss.

It went for servicing. I had a bill of 30 k. And a week later the car breaks down in the middle of sp road secbad. Remember this is one week after its servicing.

Luckily my driver was with me and it being a Sunday we pushed the car to the side of the road. The mahindra car crew came within the hour and took away my car. Next day after they analysed it, they come up with some part replacing with a bill of 50 k!

Again . this was just a week after general servicing. So when I asked them why they had not noticed that this part had to be replaced when the car had come just a week ago for servicing they were mum.

That's when I realized I had to sell of the car immediately.

My advice to all is: the xuv500 is only good upto 50 k kms

After that sell it off.
