Buying a Scorpio may make all the family members happy. But u must keep in mind what all you must do to keep it going for life long.
Whenever you give it for regular service they will charge you minimum of at least Rs.40, 000/-
Mahindra spare parts are the worst and the factory fitted are even worse. once u take your car out for a long drive say for eg. 400 kms automatically you will know some noise is coming from it and the engine is not smooth at all.
SCORPIO -you must be a multi-millionaire to OWN this car. BENZ/BMW-you must be a millionaire to only BUY this car.
I hope you are getting the difference between the two. OWNING & BUYING are totally different. If you are an average salaried person you better buy a Benz/BMW and you can use this car for your life long without wasting your money for its maintenance. but if you buy a Scorpio it will be like you have to separate a particular amount of money from your monthly salary for your car servicing alone.
When ever I go for servicing, they give me a big list of what all they changed. from suspension to electrical they change parts and they say "sir, we have changed so and so and your bill is this much" I am like what the hell you changed almost my whole car except for the chasis.
i spent approx. Rs.12 lakhs to buy this car in 2009 and now it is 2013 and for servicing alone I have spent Rs.5 lakhs. sometimes I think I could have bought an other car with this servicing money.
NEVER BUY A CAR BY LOOKING AT THE SHOWROOM. WHICH SERVICE CENTER HAS MOST CARS WAITING TO BE SERVICED IS THE WORST CAR AND NEVER OPT FOR IT. FEEL FREE TO TALK WITH THE OWNERS OR DRIVERS THERE AND ASK THEM ABOUT THEIR CARS.
In a Mahindra service center you can see at least a min. of 25 cars waiting to be serviced. Japanese or European cars are the best suited for driving with satisfaction. Now don't think I am not supporting an Indian car. if you want waste your money go ahead and buy Mahindra and Tata. People without good knowledge about cars are always going for Scorpio and later they cry and I did the same.
there is no comfort while you sit in it and go for a long drive. only the front two seats are good.
all those carbon fiber body parts are the worst. the paint on them peel off too quickly.
clutch always gets harder after you do 70, 000 kms. You have to change it completely and it costs Rs.25000/-
suspension will become hard and you will be forced to change the complete set if you go to your village during your long drive.
steering and handling are smooth.
closing the doors give a BAM noise.
you will be forced to change the security system for your Scorpio because it only works within a 3m range.
My opinion is don't go for Mahindra or Tata products, I had a sumo before this, and that also caused a hell a lot of trouble. Mahindra people are very intelligent because they have fooled the customers.
Let me see if anyone can deny what all I said.
