Some new updates dear friends on Mahindra Scorpio service.
While I was driving, I heard some sound from engine side and suddenly the engine stopped running. I was driving down a slope. The engine stopped responding, brakes not working, tried shifting to first gear or second to make the vehicle stop unfortunately it was also not working. Only option was hand break and as you all know its just for a show (totally no effect). Thank god I could manage to stop the vehicle in about 20-25 minutes of playing different circus in a national highway. I thank god always to giving my life back.
The real story starts here. I managed to stop the vehicle and then called TVS, which is the Mahindra service in Kerala, no response. I managed to get another number of TVS Express which is authorized by TVS and they came in 1 hour and inspected the vehicle. They said the camshaft has been broken and a small piece went into the engine and engine got FREEZE. How amazing the things are………………… Not an automobile expert so forced to believe what these auto techs says.
TVS Express said it would cost around 40,000 INR to make the engine work. I was shocked to hear this. Also added the parts are very tough to get (yet another shock). Later I had to email Mahindra Company begging them to do something. In 2 days the order came from Mahindra to replace the camshaft absolutely free of cost. This was a good news for me and I appreciate Mahindra for doing so.
Even though it too almost one month of work for the vehicle I got the vehicle running. They gave me a shock of 11000 INR bill for the labor. I paid the same and I got the vehicle back in this condition:
1: Full of oil or grease in all seats and on the roof.
2: Music system was dead.
3: The TFT screen was dead.
4: Tighten the battery very much that the casing of battery beaked and the water leaked.
5: Keyless entry system was not working.
6: The front glass washer was not working.
7: No number plate.
8: One of the wheel cups was missing.
9: The speedometer needle started vibrating.
10: One of the fog lamps not working.
11: One of the park lights not working.
12: Wiper switch got damaged.
My doubt is, will it cost 11000 INR for a person to damage the above 12 items?
Mahindra surely have to improve the service quality very much other wise customers have to make sure they have an automobile engineer in family or friend circle.
Mahindra has to seriously think about one more thing. What can be done for the people who have bought Mahindra scorpio during 2001-2003 (The OLD Model). How can Mahindra say that people paid money for the BETA version engine and break or a test version model? We will have another thread on this.
