Bad vehicle made worse

Took a test drive on the new CRDE and I find they’ve taken a bad vehicle and made it worse.

Driving position:

The seat is non adjustable for height and is too high. The steering wheel

is too low and rests on your thigh and you have to stoop down to drive. It is also offset to the right instead of dead center. The driver seat has limited movement and it is impossible to find the right position.

The steering wheel is not adjustable for reach or tilt. That apparently is reserved only for the top end models. How dumb can they get.

The driver sits high up on a pedestal which is really uncomfortable to those used to good cars.

Suspension:

This vehicle has coil spring suspensions all round (or so the dealer tells me). This technology is only suitable for kiddies toy cars. With the Scorpio the vehicle keeps swaying side to side on going over bumps.

Brakes:

Bad bad brakes. Even a slight touch is enough and the brakes grab thereby (thanks to the soft springs) dipping the front end. In this day and age such bad brakes and suspension is inexcusable.

Going over bumps causes the rear passengers to be flung upwards.

Legroom in the Rear is still limited. Only those 5 feet below in height can sit there. There is no room for your feet as the front seats legs come in the way. The rear seat backrest can be adjusted backwards but whats the point when there is no legroom.

The seats at the extreme rear are only meant for circus midgets.

The dealer tried conning me during the test drive by rolling up the windows and turning on the AC but I insisted on driving with ac off and windows open. The turbo engine makes a high pitched whine when revved. Its jarring to the ears.

The other points mentioned in my original scorpio review still stands.
