I was having an Indica for 3 years and I wanted to swtich over to a bigger car and was looking at Esteem, Accent etc., Logan was intrudced then at the right time and I thought I was very lucky and grabbed the opportunity and bought a Logan 1.4 GLX petrol ( as I was very frustrated with diesel vehicle and moreover my usage is very minimum).
Initially I was very happy I made the right choice in buying the car. But who would accept that they have made the wrong choice immediately after making it. Be it car or any thing else. You can say that there is ample space in the rear and you have a big boot to boast. But, not always you will have full load both inside the car and in the boot. It is only once in a while. may be once in a year. So, the only advantage of the car "wide body" takes a back seat when it comes to reality i.e., day to day driving.
It is very important to say that, as some one in this blog has pointed out, I got nearly 12 km per lit. , but after two services I am getting only 8.5 to 9 per litre. When I enquired about this to the service person they say it is quite normal for such a big car with A/C on. But this point they forgot to mention during their sales pitch.*
The wiper on its reverse swing throws water exactly on the driver side windshield thus making it difficult to drive during rain. The term "Power Steering" is to be taken literally and you have to use your full power to steer the car. When this problem was pointed out to the service person, he gave the usual reply "this is a big car, low hung, so it will be like that. it is quite normal. Are you maintaining correct air pressure. etc.." Some times I get fed up when I am being questioned back instead of getting any answers. ( may be they do not know the answers). So I stopped questioning them.
The Engine noise is very high like a diesel engine. You guessed it correctly. I got the same and usual reply from the service person. "It is normal".
I do not know any one is getting any problem in service. I have given my car for two free services so far, I feel the service personnel have to be a bit more educated about the car and its problem. They just fill up the service coupon and pass on the car inside to the service area.
I forgot to mention about the side rearview mirror problem. In one year I have changed twice both the left and right RV mirrors. It is very hard and tends to break during normal operation.

To bring it to an end, I have to say that I feel good when sitting in the driver's seat. It sort of feels sturdy.
The space is good.
You feel like driving a big car.
The car is sturdy in highways at even 100-120 kmph.
Finally, I have to accept the fact. I have made the choice. I have to endure it for another 3 years. Some one please tell me that I have made the right choice and get my morale up.
