Water seepage

Less than a week since I signed up for MS, here I am writing another review. This time not about Onida Microwave but about my new purchase. The M&M Bolero DI Turbo. I picked this up for a relatively reasonable price. It’s a 2007 old SUV with power steering and AC. However no power windows.

I picked this vehicle 3 days ago and today I happened to park this vehicle outside my home in heavy rains. After 6-7 hours of the car being parked in heavy rains I noticed that there was slight water seepage under the glove compartment in the front pillion section. Yes, this is right next to the driver seat and the water had seeped from under the dashboard on to the rubber mat. Though the quantity of water wasn’t so much, it still bothers me.

I asked myself:

  1. Is the water leaking from the AC?-> Thought that was a stupid possibility but still wanted to explore the possibility.

  2. Was there a leak/seepage from the front windshield rubber beading?-> Still a novice of SUV's to figure that out myself.

  3. Was the water seeping from the bonnet?

Honestly I don’t have answers to any of these 3 possibilities and hence I set forth to write a review myself on MS.

Can MS patrons comment/review this issue and let me know if they have faced a similar problem on their M&M vehicles? If yes, then I may strike gold. Please help!

Nevertheless, this SUV rocks on performance. But this small incident within 3 days of buying a pre-used car has made me sad. Hope the weekend revives me up!

PS: I am planning to take my car to M&M dealer, Sireesh Automobiles in Bangalore. But before I went there, I was only hoping to find out if I could get some background to this problem.

Thanks,

Pramod
