20th Feb 2009 - So a similar thing prompted me to write this review which had promoted me to write for Bora auto. I was looking at the After sales service & availability of dealers for Mahindra Logan in Pune. Following the pathetic experience from Bora auto, I contacted Silver Jubilee Motors at Camp in pune. I was requested some information which I produced.
Actually this wasn't the first time I called them as well. I had called the previous Sunday on 15th Feb 09 & was attended by a girl.She gave me the pricing et all & had promised that she will get back within a day regarding any other available offers and servicing availability etc. But I never revived a call till yesterday. So this was my second follow up call.
This time however I was attended by Pritam, who sounded pretty committed to the job. Took down some details and also agreed to my request of getting a car for test drive at my door steps.I needed this since I stay at a different corner of the city than camp. He did oblige and also came in at the said time . This was a pleasant experience after being horrified by Bora.
The only drawback is Silver Jubilee has its service station at Hadapsar .... its like another town for me :(:(. If only they had some kind of a tie up or something like that at least in the heart of the city (around shivajinagar, deccan).
BTW: It seems that Mahindra are making an effort to beef up their sales & after sales service, since I was also contacted by their Banglore sales executive after I had registered online regarding their recent offers. Also seems like the executive gave these guys a heads up. But I don't mind as far as my requests (not whims and fancies) are met & I get a good service.
Lets see how far does it last. Hopefully long so that I can update this review in a better mood.:) 6th March 2009 - I have booked the vehicle (logan 1.6 GLX) with Silver Jubilee by paying 50K as booking amount. Awaiting its delivery since the past 15 days:(.
23rd March 2009 - Hey guys, I did the rest of the payment on the 14th & sent the print outs of these being honoured by the bank, to Silver Jubilee. I received the delivery of my new 1.6 GLX Logan on the 21st of March 2009 ( it was ready on the 20th itself).
SIlver Jubilee guys (sales person - Pratik Tated and Sales manager Sachin Bawaskar) are wonderful people to deal with. It was an ABSOLUTE PLEASURE to deal with them. Right from booking of the vehicle till the delivery it was softer than Amul butter.
I was seeking updates about the where about of the vehicle and they had it. The best part was the HAND OVER CEREMONY that Silver Jubilee had arranged. They gave us a Ganesh idol. They had arranged for the puja thali & pedhas, they had put up an aarti, all my family members worshiped the car. I & my dad were given pagdis to wear, the keys were handed over by the MD Mr. Ahluwalia.
He too was curious to know the rating of the whole process & my reply was ' Just so that you dont get flattered, I will give a 9 - 9.5'. I did not receive any accessories from them, but the idol (& the blessing that come with it) & the special attention, made up for all of it. I so much thank my good intution that I went for the buy from Silver Jubilee & not from Bora. Also a technician explained all the features of the car to me & has promised to pay another visit in 4-5 days.
Oh by the way they made sure that the vehicle also has 10 liters of petrol in it. So for my accounting friends, 450 Rs of petrol + 200 Rs of idol + the flower garland & pedhas probably for another 200 all is already given. Now for the major part which is the after sales service and the vehicle itself. I shal post them under relevant headings after a few 100 km's & a couple of rounds to the service station.
So if you want to go for a Mahindra vehicle in pune, SILVER JUBILEE is the place to get it from. NOWHERE ELSE. Mahindra is doing a complete revamp of their dealership service and it shows. So cheers
20th May 2011 - Its been a little over 2 years since I bought the vehicle, the vehicle is absolute VFM. The A, S, S at Silver Jubiless at both the Hadapsar & Pimpri are good. They also mostly abide by the timelines. It generally costs a paid service around 2000 INR & I have been doing it deligently every 6 months. I also get my car insurance done from them as well.
